Antonomasia | 514 comments I found a note that seemed to be implying this, and it isn't something I've heard before on here. (This is for authors with an original language using the Roman alphabet, who have diacritics etc in their names in the original language, and where these are sometimes shown and sometimes not in English versions, but the spelling is otherwise the same. There are lots of authors on GR where the main profile uses their original language spelling, same letters as in English, but with accents.)

For authors who have claimed their profiles, whether to have them be with or without accents is up to them.

For unclaimed profiles, it depends on a number of factors. Including what appears on English-language covers.
