Bronwyn, the brain, is Yale-bound and never breaks a rule.
Addy, the beauty, is the picture-perfect homecoming princess.
Nate, the criminal, is already on probation for dealing.
Cooper, the athlete, is the all-star baseball pitcher.
And Simon, the outcast, is the creator of Bayview High's notorious gossip app.

Only, Simon never makes it out of that classroom. Before the end of detention, Simon's dead. And according to investigators, his death wasn't an accident. On Monday, he died. But on Tuesday, he'd planned to post juicy reveals about all four of his high-profile classmates, which makes all four of them suspects in his murder. Or are they the perfect patsies for a killer who's still on the loose?
Everyone has secrets, right? What really matters is how far you would go to protect them.

Like Bronwyn has a crush on Mate when she was younger and maybe he had one on her too, but they’re just now acting on it. Part of me hopes they’ll make it, Nate needs a good influence in his life. Addy has gone off the deep end, with good reason. None of her friends will speak to her, poor girl. Cooper is just Cooper. I still think he did it. (hide spoiler)]

Honestly, potentially unpopular opinion, but I think Simon deserved it.. okay well maybe not death but you know. He was a freaking bully. Why was the school not doing more about his app and his webpage? Clearly they knew, or probably heard about it.

OHHHH so that’s what Simon is probably holding over Cooper’s head. He is a cheater, yes, but he was just using Keely as a cover.. makes sense. But ugh how supportive the “murder club” was when people were making fun of him for being gay.

Honestly I feel like it would be a nice twist to find out Simon did it to himself..? (hide spoiler)]

Not feeling one way or another about "who did it"...
The secrets that were never posted seem to be the motive behind it. But still finding it hard to picture someone killing Simon? They do all seem like they don't want their secrets out there. To me, Nate might have the strongest motive... but honestly, he seems like a nice guy?

Also... killing someone [who has an allergy] with peanut oil seems HORRRIBLE. I don't know why that really seems graphic, but it does.

The stuff Maeve found out about Simon and his comments on that school shooting, didn't shock me at all. He seems like such a jerk-- especially online. He's really not getting any sympathy from me. Getting suspicious he's trying to do some suicide/revenge thing since I saw people comparing this book to 13 Reasons Why... Kind of thinking that might be the direction this is headed in.

The big mystery of the killers identity isn’t such a mystery, or is it? I’m just not being able to tell the characters apart so I’m way off. Maybe there’s some misdirection happening?!? Also I’m really curious how Simon got all this juicy info on everyone. Things he shouldn’t be able to know 🤔🤔 (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Unfortunately I wasn’t surprised about Simon and had a feelin about him since the beginning. The way he spoke and the things he did coupled with him being this investigative reporter just gave me a feeling. I’m still not clear on how he ‘knew’ so much.
I think the book in hindsight touched on quite a few sensitive issues from school shooting, suicide and more. I feel the worst for Connor, but in a way the group of them had a chance of redemption, to own up to their mistakes and make amends. I did expect another bomb to drop and surprised nothing else came to be. (hide spoiler)]
