It's a late reply and I"m sure you already know but unfortunately...the end of the "iron flower" so basically we have to wait a year for elloren to use her magic :(
I'm pretty sure it's close to almost the very end - (spoiler) soon after her uncles dies.

Knowing that she has her grandmother’s powers from the prologue of the first book only to get 2/3 of the way through Iron Flower and not have it happen yet is driving me bonkers.
