Need help combining

i think i've misunderstood how the combine tool works. i went to add a book i'm currently reading because i didn't see it, got all the way through putting the info in only to be notified that there was an edition on Goodreads already, found that listing very incomplete, and thought i would go ahead and add another edition and combine them. Now there are two separate editions in one listing, and the one without a cover image and with very scant data is the primary one. The primary one is also the fifth volume and it doesn't match the other four, which is what i was trying to do with my edition. Is there a way of reconciling this? Sorry to have botched the process.

I have set your edition to merge/be deleted shortly. I corrected the editor's name on the edition with ISBN, added the contributor names & description you had, and the cover from Amazon. Amazon has a different page count; is there anything after p. 252?

For future reference, it's always safest to do a search for the ISBN before adding anything. :-)

Thanks! i don’t know why it didn’t occur to me to search by ISBN. All the other volumes in the collection had their titles formatted the same way, so they showed up in a title search and this one didn’t. i’ll remember that for next time!

There’s 258 total pages, but 252 is the last numbered one and all that’s on the last few is one page of other books by the same publisher.
