I am planning to read this but likely not until later this month.

Just started. Up to chapter 4. Smooth writing, nothing too flowery.
It kinda gives me The Last Kingdom's vibe. Or at least some of the imageries.

I liked Malcolm and Raithe's banter. Chapter 3 is quite amusing.

Oh and I also appreciated the author's efforts that I don't have read the previous Riyria books before this. And the fact that he had finished the series before publishing the first book.
