I've put up a Doodle poll for scheduling purposes, with a few times on Sunday that might be more friendly to Europeans.....
I'm not sure how many readers we even have who are getting this far, so I'm equally amenable to not discussing it as a podcast episode. I'll see what kind of participation/interest I get.

Only Vinny has responded to the poll so far... is anyone else planning to be a part of the online discussion?

At the moment I'm not sure how easy it would be for me to be available on 18th November.
I have really enjoyed reading this book and really appreciate your encouraging me via the readalong to join in .
As a piece of literature it is one of those significant books of the twentieth century that seems to have an incredible resonance beyond the simple book and I suspect that one day I will have to give it a reread.
having today listened to Doris Lessing on desert island discs she is an incredible character who seems to have little reticence in expressing her views (for example on Rhodesia/Zimbabwe/ Mugabe/white settlers).
Thank you again but weekends are a bit chaotic at the moment for various reasons so I think I'd struggle to get involved..
If I can help in any other way with you putting readers views across in the podcast then let me know and I'll try and put something down although as yet I haven't even done my GR review , I always worry that when I put thoughts down and chuck them into the wide world it exposes my general lack of understanding of the book as a whole.

Oh seriously no worries, no pressure, I just don't want to leave anyone out. We didn't have as much participation this time around, and I'm not overly surprised, it's a tough read! But like you, I found it worthwhile.

Sorry, just saw this.
I would need to reread before I felt competent to discuss this as a group. I enjoyed the read, I just wished I'd read slower, and this is my fault.
Vinny and I are definitely going to discuss The Golden Notebook on Sunday, November 18, at 10 am EST. If you want to join us, you can do so by clicking the link.

It's a podcast. An online audio recording. I know, using the word chat now means something else! But like we did before.
