GROUP READ GUIDELINES

This thread contains the guidelines for our Group Read System

GUIDELINES:
‣ you can choose whether you want to join in on Group Reads or not. we usually host multiple at a time so that members have a choice of which book they would most likely want to read.

‣ takes place from the first to the last day of the month

‣ anyone can nominate a book from any genre, using this thread

‣ a book that gets 2-4 upvotes automatically gets added to the poll

‣ a book that gets 5+ upvotes automatically becomes a group read

‣ a poll will be created by a moderator for members to vote on once nominations are over for books with 2-4 upvotes, if needed

‣ 2-4 books with the highest votes will be the Group Reads for the month

‣ multiple nominations for one book is what counts as upvotes

‣ discussion threads are created by the moderators when voting is done

‣ add spoiler tags if you are reading in advance of the group reading pace posted

‣ can be joined in at any time of the month by any member

‣ a book that has been Group Read before can no longer be nominated for another month's Group Read. Check the bookshelf for past books.

‣ FOR A SERIES, nominate the first book in said series always. If already read by the group, you can nominate the next book in the series and so on.

‣ for any questions or to report inappropriate behaviour you can talk to the mods.
