Jess Penhallow | 41 comments Hi everyone I'm looking forward to getting started on moderating this discussion. As the book is split into three parts I thought I would split the discussion into three parts so I suggest that we read to the following schedule

Oct 1st-10th - Wait
Oct 11-20th - Snap
Oct 21st - 31st - Go

Of course you can read at any rate that you want but I will be framing the discussion to this schedule.

Spoilers are allowed on this thread but please state where you are in the book before leaving a spoilery comment and use spoiler tags if possible so that people can avoid if they want.

Jess Penhallow | 41 comments I've only just noticed that the second section Snap is really short so I'm thinking of revising the optional reading section as follows:

1st-14th - Wait
15th - 31st - Snap & Go

What do you think? I'm enjoying the book so far.

Jean Shriver | 16 comments sorry, I thought the book was a bust, but I'm very picky on my mysteries these days.

Oh, good! My book buddy! I did not like this one. I listened on audio and read it on kindle, and while it was not long, I felt like it took forever. It seemed so slow. I felt like there was not much of a story and was bored. I am getting picky these days too. If the others liked it, that is fine with me, I feel like I am getting more and more picky.

Darlene | 3 comments I really enjoyed this one! I think that there were a lot of gratuitous sexual scenes, but they did have some relevance relating to the context of the story and that they did point to the type of clientele that frequent Deanna's website. I did not find it boring at all, and I already requested the second book in the series from the library.

Jess Penhallow | 41 comments I've just finished 'Wait' and am finding it okay but nothing special. It's starting to get a bit repetitive so I'm hoping something happens soon but at the same time I'm kind of dreading when something does happen because I know it's going to be horrible. I hold my breath through every 'Annie' chapter!

Jess Penhallow | 41 comments This is an offshoot from a post of mine in the main thread. It was heading into spoiler territory so I thought I'd bring it over here.

What do people think of the romance aspect of this book? I know that romance/erotica is the authors normal genre and I definitely felt the annoying romance tropes coming through.

Rachel Burke | 5 comments Put me in the "really didn't like the book" club. For the record, I have no issue with erotica or book based around a protagonist rather than a hero. And books with an unreliable narrator may be my favorite genre of all. But I found the book to be terrible. Very slow in the beginning - and even when it picked up it didn't actually become a good book, just a book that read faster. The scenes between (view spoiler) I truly enjoyed.

Unfortunately, because I can't help myself I have to finish the series now. I very, very quickly read "Do Not Disturb" (actually I tried reading it at the normal rate. ) (view spoiler) I will be reading the third book and then will never pick up another book by Torre.

Summer (paradisecity) | 48 comments Jess wrote: "I found Deanna and Jeremy's relationship ridiculous...."

Agreed. That was absolutely bizarre and nonsensical (how would he even develop feelings for a woman he never saw or spoke to?). And he let her take his truck and then, what, just hung out in front of her door for days waiting for her to return? How did no one call the cops on the weird stranger camped outside a neighbor's door? And the author still didn't wrap up what actually happened with her family's deaths and honestly, the whole thing was just kind of terrible.

Rachel, how was the second book?

Way, way late, but the second book was truly terrible. However, to my absolute shock the third book was quite good - compelling with character development. Either Torres has improved greatly as a writer or the drastic change in plot plays much better to her strengths.
