Here is another fun, do at your own pace spell out challenge. You can spell out as many countries as you want. You can take as long as you need, 3 months, 6 months, a year, it doesn’t matter. Just make sure you note your start date and how long you plan on playing. If you want to make things a little more difficult for yourself, then read only books set in that country to spell out the country. You can also make some more difficult and go the easy route for others. It’s all up to you.
Re-reads are allowed. Minimum page limit is 50. You can use books from other challenges for this one, but you cannot use the same book twice for this (ie: if you read a book for Ireland, you cannot use the same book for Italy, even if you read it twice in the challenge time frame).
Since there are so many words to choose from you can use author name (first, middle and last), book title, series title, and character name (have to be main characters though and not secondary, first, middle and last name).

9/1

1. What are your 5 favorite books?
This question never fails to stump me, but I'll go with Outlander, Shadow and Bone, Leviathan, The Lord of the Rings, and Watchers. (Can you tell I like great world-building?)
2. What is your favorite genre?
I love them all, but go through phases where I spend months reading mostly one genre. Right now I'm in a big romance phase. It's pretty much all I'm reading these days.
3. Where do you live?
Chicago for the past 10 years, but I grew up in Nebraska.
4. What's your favorite color?
Purple! One day I left the house with a purple phone, shoes, bag, shirt, and planner. I have a problem.
5. Name 2 books that you didn't like.
Sizzling Sixteen and The Purrfect Murder are perfect examples of good series that have started to seriously overstay their welcome. Yet somehow I keep reading them!
6. What is/was your profession?
I'm a grant writer for a large civil rights non-profit.
7. If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
Anywhere in France - Nice, Paris, Rennes, a small farm in the middle of nowhere...
8. What's your favorite ice cream flavor?
Mint cookies and cream. Or rainbow sherbet.
9. If you could have lunch with an author, who would you choose?
J.K. Rowling. I would love to pick her brain, and she seems like such an interesting person.
10. What are your hobbies besides reading?
I do triathlons in the summer, curling in the winter, and am also teaching myself to code and build websites and apps.
11. What's your favorite thing about/at TCF?
Is it a cop out to say the challenges? I love the Monopoly game and the Super Series team challenge!
12. Who's your top 3 authors?
William Shakespeare, James Rollins, and Jane Austen. All three of them can get me to pick up any of their books and know I'll enjoy it.
13. Do you have any pets, and if so what are they and what are their names?
I have a 9 year old Boston Terrier named Carey (short for Tenderheart Care Bear).
Carey in the car
14. What's your favorite thing to eat?
Mexican food. I could eat it all day, every day.
15. What method of reading do you prefer i.e. Kindle, paperback, audio, etc?
Kindle. I do so much of my reading on the train to work or in bed while my husband is asleep, so the Kindle is crucial!
16. What are you currently reading?
I just started Of Metal and Wishes, which my YA book club is discussing this weekend.
17. What book did you just finish?
Just in the nick of time for a challenge, I read Of Gods and Monsters: Menoetius yesterday.
18. Name a book, author, or series that you loved and wouldn't of know about if it weren't for Goodreads.
The Cut & Run series. And really, M/M romance in general. I had no idea it existed until this year!
19. If you could be any character from a book who would it be and what book is he/she from?
I just got back from my first visit to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando and am still riding the high, so I'll say Hermione Granger! If you haven't been yet, I highly recommend making the trip. It made me fall in love with the books all over again! I want to live in that world forever.
20. Where's your favorite place to go on vacation to?
France. I love everything about it - the culture, the food, the architecture. It's my favorite place in the world.
Bonus:
Tell us 3 things about yourself.
--I used to be a synchronized swimmer.
--My hair cut and color is rarely the same for longer than a year.
--I have my bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts.
