Use this thread to nominate books for September. We will put up a big poll the last week in August for everyone to vote.

Courtney | 14 comments OOH OOOH OOOOOH! I vote for Isla and the Happily Ever After.

Bee☕ (fueledbycoffee) Breathe, Annie, Breathe by Miranda Kenneally. An encouraging fic about how and when to heal, making your goals, family, a swoony guy, and Newbs: How To Train for a Marathon and Not Die. YA mix of humor, realistic fiction, and inspiration. (Made me pull out my running shoes again)

Tiffany (iamtgar) | 26 comments I am reading the Lux Series right now (the newest book just came out last week) its a paranormal(ish)YA series. The first one sort of pissed me off because it was basically a Twilight rip off, but towards the end it started to win me over.

I love Stephanie Perkins so I'd be up for Isla and I hear Breathe, Annie, Breathe is supposed to be good too.

There is A LOT of talk in the YA world about a book that just came out today called The Unfinished Life of Addison Stone. So that might be a good one to review.

Tiffany, I know what you mean! Obsidian did have a Twi feel... then more characters were introduced and "Holy Alien Babies!" we are not in Forks anymore. LOL. Last week, I finished Lux#5. *sniff* LOVED it. I'm glad they revamped the covers to reflect the genre better and they are combining the books into two-in-one volumes. Its like buy one, get one free.

Ditto for Isla.

This is my suggestion for September (aka ... this might be what we read because I AM IN CHARGE). https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

Courtney | 11 comments I liked the Lux series too! I've read all but the recently released last book. I agree on the early Twilight similarities, but it just gets crazy from there.

Jill | 7 comments Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty
Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty
about Moms behaving badly - navigating through a minefield of elementary school politics, proving that everyone has secrets. I cannot wait to read this!

Kristin | 19 comments I am all for Big Little Lies. Mostly because I already own it and it's staring at me with it's pretty cover, just waiting to be read.

Saskia (saskiad) I nominate Cinnamon and Gunpowder by Eli Brown, because it is about food and pirates. What is not to like:)

AND? Is this a source of a) amusement b) deep regret?
It's not clear to me if you're laughing out of joy or hysteria. ;-)
