Can you merge readers and authors profiles?

Is there a way to link or merge author profiles to the ones we use normally as readers? Just not to duplicate profiles...

I have been an user of Goodreads for a few years, and I have librarian status as well... Recently I was credited as translator of a few titles that have been entered by the publishers or other readers in the site, thus generating one new profile of me as a translator which is empty for the time being...
I haven't been able to find a way to do that. So I don't know if it can be done...

If you will scroll down on the author / translator profile you will see:
Is this you? Let us know. link.
You can use it to join Goodreads author program and to have your reader account merged with the author profile.
