My older brother and I read the Uglies series at the same time, and we ended up sharing a lot of books after that experience. Have any of your family members influenced your writing, and if so, how?

Uglies is a dystopian book, but the centre to its plot is one that many teenagers can relate to. What was it that inspired the idea for Uglies. Also, how thoroughly did you plan the series before beginning to write?

Are you going to write any more books in the Uglies Manga series? Because I loved seeing the story through Shay's eyes and I really want to see what her and Tally would look like as Specials.
