I went ahead and started because I have been staring at it in my kindle and my OCD was riding my nerves lol.

25% Well I am moving through this book really fast and I am not quite sure what is completely going on right this second but it is really interesting so far. Its been really easy to sink into the world, I am just confused mostly about motives and backstory at this point. (view spoiler)[ Ole girl is just now bringing up stories of the changed ones?? Yea that would have been useful...IDK years ago... I'm not yet sure of Cassandra she seems to have backbone hidden there, I just hope she doesnt turn out to let people walk all over her after her oppression throughout her life. (hide spoiler)]

50% (view spoiler)[ Well the history of the changed ones that is slowly being revealed is really interesting. I can't wait till Cass develops powers. I am not so sure about our insta connection with the guys. G. Bailey's books seem to always have the insta love thing happening which I am not always a fan of. These characters seem more mature than some of her other characters though. I am really enjoying the book so far. (hide spoiler)]

I really like the diversity between our Male MCs in RHN sometimes that they are either all so much alike that you cant really tell them apart other than their names or they are so different that it makes no sense why they are even friends to begin with. I am also glad its kinda slow-burn, I cant stand when the plot line never moves because all the characters are too busy between the sheets. (hide spoiler)]

I'm also wondering here...if the King stole the Queen's power, what happens if she dies? Would Rhyland and Hunter be willing to kill their shell of a mother to keep Cassie safe? It's a horrible thought, but??? (hide spoiler)]
Ch 11 - (view spoiler)[ OK, so here I was thinking that the father betrayed Cassandra to a deeper extent than just telling the King that she can't swim - I was waiting for it to be revealed, and here he goes saving her life before dying. I was wrong about him.

They definitely could not stand alone. I really feel like Everly might be the next queen, especially with her mom speaking and meeting the Sea God and she said he touched her stomach while she was pregnant. (hide spoiler)]
50% (view spoiler)[ So this new Cass is pretty bad A though I still feel its a little hard to reconcile her with Cass from the first book. The tug of war between the guys here is pretty exhausting. Also its pretty weird how instead of having to figure out the riddle of the deal things are just falling into place very coincidental and it feels rushed. I don't like how even though Cass hears the whispers of the Sea God and the urgency and she just dismisses it. (hide spoiler)]

Finished Book 3: (view spoiler)[ That was probably the most anti climactic ending battle ever....I mean all these books and it ends like in a paragraph. I still stand by my thoughts that G. Bailey's books are hit or miss for me, though I did enjoy these they just seemed to lack something, I'm not sure if it was in the details, or character building. I was right a spinoff is coming for Everly and Reah. Was it just me or did there seem to be alot of characters that were just forgotten in the wings, so to speak? (hide spoiler)]

I hope now that she has bonded with all her chosen that she will have access to her powers.....seems like someone that wields fire should be afraid of someone that wields water. Not sure about the dragon though, that might be a little tough to overcome even with her powers. (hide spoiler)]
Finished - Uh??? (view spoiler)[ She was gone for a whole year?? I'm just guessing here, but is it possible that the "price" paid might have been a child? I mean she did have sex with Rhyland and the Sea God needs someone to take his place.

I did find it a little hard to accept that they were surprised that she came back....but had a ring ready to propose to her with? Anyone else find that a little weird? (hide spoiler)] Doesn't really matter, with that cliffhanger, I'll be reading the final book to find out what happens.

Ch 5 (26%) - (view spoiler)[ Oh man that sucks that she is promising to be the one to kill the Queen...well, if it wasn't for the Prologue, we would assume that she does it. Makes me wonder who it is that shows up to surprise her - my money is on Olivia, but it could also be her dad. She assumed he drowned in the maze, but what if he didn't? (hide spoiler)]
Ch 11 (48%) - (view spoiler)[ Ugh, I'm all for women ending up being stronger or smarter than other people anticipate - but she learns to control her power within 15 minutes, and then goes off and learns to swim in another 10 minutes....the same day. Ridiculous!! (hide spoiler)]
Ch 17 (70%) - (view spoiler)[ Um, what just happened with Everly? She promised to marry the mermaid King, but wasn't he just asking who her father was? I assumed it was because he thought she might challenge him for the throne, but ....ew! What if they end up being brother and sister? (hide spoiler)]
Finished - I agree!! (view spoiler)[ very anticlimactic, and rushed. I was also annoyed that there wasn't a hint of what was going to happen to Everly with the promise she made to the mermaid King -- if my copy didn't have an excerpt from the spin off, I wouldn't have even known it existed. Not in the running for my favorite G. Bailey series. It actually gave me the feeling like it might have been the first series she wrote? It has an immaturity to it, but what do I know?
