Cer I liked this book and want to read books with similar themes. Not necessarily murder mystery or thriller, but about morally bad/gray characters, emotional manipulation between friends, when the twist at the end is that a character was not actually a good person, or boarding school friendships, power dynamics shifting between friends, things turning dark and the group trying to cope in self destructive ways etc. I know I'm being vague, weirdly specific and not explaining properly but I honestly don't know how to define what I'm looking for. Another example I can think of is Talented Mr. Ripley. And also a lot of people recommended If We Were Villains, which I haven't read yet.
So If you can think of any books like these, please let me know.

Steven-John Tait If you haven't done so already, try Bully by Jim Schultze, The Sea Wolf by Jack London, Animal Farm by George Orwell. The Painted Veil by Somerset Maugham might also fit your description. And One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
