Question about dates
date

After some discussion, we have decided that all dates related to book records on Goodreads -- including for awards -- should be on the Gregorian calendar. It's too confusing if we are inconsistent in this regard.

That was my thought too - I wouldn't want to make work for librarians/staff who have had to clean up the dates in the past. Can the dates be left blank or should I ask the member who is wanting the award updated if he can supply the Gregorian dates?
Thanks rivka!

Either of those seems reasonable, so whichever you prefer is fine.

Is it ok to use dates from other calendars in the award section? I can't see any way it would mess up data in other sections.
My concern would be if librarians see wrong dates there then we would have problems with other areas having the dates entered wrongly.
Or could/should we leave the date blank. That will make checking awards validity difficult for me. I was dealing with an award recently where the website had already removed the 2016 awards from their site.
