Hi everyone! my name is mackenzie but you can call me kenzie, or mackenzie if you want. i’ll read almost any genre, but i usually don’t read supernatural, i just can’t get into it for some reason! i’ve been a member of this group for a while but now that school’s winding down i’m hoping i’ll have time to actually participate 😂 i’m looking forward to meeting y’all!
Hello, Everyone. I am Taseen from Dhaka, Bangladesh.I want to read, I love to read, I can't get enough of it; but somehow I don't quiet read a lot. Life just keeps getting in the way. I set targets and barely meet them every year whereas my TBR list just keeps getting longer and longer. I must confess, I am a bit of an escapist. Sci-Fi and Fantasy have been my refuge from the ravages of life. But I fear I'm getting disconnecting from my love of reading; and desperately want to hold on.
You fellows will help me out, won't you?
Good Morning!!My name is Kristina from Ohio. I tend to have great intentions with a realistic TBR. However, between work and kids, I tend to want to sleep then stay up to read. I will read pretty much everything. I previously tended to read more contemporary then anything else. This year I decided to read more fantasy/Sci-Fi and that has been a wonderful change of pace for me. Looking forward to reading with the group,
Hiya Guys! I'm Sam from the UK and I like to challenge myself with reading, whether that is my customary 1 classic a year or starting a new series. I try to keep my TBR under control but that is an impossible task so I will do my best to stop it getting too long!
I tend to read a lot of Young Adult Fantasy, but I also enjoy Crime and thrillers.

Hi everyone. My name is Lindsay. I have been around the group for a little while but I don't think I have actually introduced myself. I am 31 and live in IL with my husband. I enjoy reading mostly YA fantasy, sci-fi, mystery/thrillers, and some contemporaries. Also adult mystery/thrillers, cozies, contemporary, and some historical fiction. I just joined the 3 month summer group challenge and I am looking forward to playing with some of you!

Thanks! I just had a quick question. I saw that there were buddy read discussion threads and the group read discussion threads for May and I just wanted to know if I had to read one book from each one or just the book that I’m most interested in?

the buddy read discussion threads are usually for pairs or smaller groups that want to read a certain book :)
both of them have different methods of being created hehe

Hey all! My name is Emily and I’m 21. I have always enjoyed reading when I was doing it, but then would lose track and stop reading for like 6 months. Recently, my therapist and I have realized that when I consistently read, my mental health is significantly better. I made this account in order to keep track of my reading, to find new books, and also to have a list of things i’ve accomplished. Sounds weird, but it is what it is.
I strongly identify with April Ludgate, and I love caffeine. I’m queer as hell & love psychology (kind of a geek about it oops).

Hi I'm Mary. I live in the USA and am trying to develop a new skill of reading on a regular basis. It's rather difficult and slow but the challenge of finishing a book makes me feel accomplished instead of wasting time on Facebook or mindless games. I don't know other people that read very much so I thought I'd see what kind of groups were online.My favorite genre is Sci-fi.

Hello everyone!! Fellow procrastinator right here!! Actually procrastinating my homework by joining this group and introducing myself rn lol. My name is Amara and like everybody here I love books. But there’s so many to read and not enough time and I’m busy with school 😓 Maybe joining this group will help? I love to write, journal, draw, and constantly learn new things for fun. Currently I’m learning to speak spanish, play guitar, watercolour. I love to consume stories in general, in all forms of media. So, movies, tv and books. I’m passionate about too many things and I’m indecisive.

hiiiii y'all! i'm emilee! i'm 24 years old, i'm from texas, and i obviously love to read! my favorite genres are typically fantasy (YA or just regular fantasy), NA, romance, sci-fi, and i do love the occasional non-fiction (mostly true crime)! outside of reading, i have my own podcast with my two best friends - it's a true crime podcast and we have lots of fun! i also have a full-time job so reading is sometimes not high on my list of stuff to do after i get home from a long day of work, thus the procrastinating group! audiobooks that i borrow from my library are basically saving my life at the moment! i'm also a big sims 4 addict, i love cats and volunteer with my local humane society to help with the cats there, and i am almost always drinking an iced coffee of some kind. can't wait to procrastinate with you guys :)

Sounds cool! I've never been super into podcasts, but I'm definitely open to them, so I'd love to check yours out. True crime is always really cool.
I totally love audiobooks as well and they're such a great help for when you're in a slump or when you're too busy with life. And Sims 4 is the bomb hah though I definitely prefer making people and then abandoning them then actually making a real story lol. And cats! YES!
So glad you're in the group, emilee! If you ever need audiobook suggestions, you can check out the Get Me Out Of My Slump folder and make a discussion there! It's a great place to ask the other group members for suggestions. Or just hit me up hah I listen to a lot of audiobooks.

I have a younger brother and an elder step sister (not the Cinderella kind. She's actually pretty amazing) I love reading dystopian, fantasy and YA books. When I'm not reading I'd be listening to podcast, sketching, cooking, helping my mom run a cake shop or just plainly staring out the window. I prefer the peaceful life of the countryside to the bustle of the metropolis. I live in this small town where I have to walk four miles to go to a library and yup that's the reason why I prefer ebooks and audiobooks.

Hello, I'm Yasmin and I'm from Egypt. I like reading (obviously), video games, music, movies and TV series. My favorite genre is horror in everything and honestly horror in real life would be awesome too.I have a book buying problem that I'm trying to get under control so I can get to my giant TBR. My all time favorite author is Ahmed Khaled Tawfik, he's an Egyptian author who passed away last year (and yes I'm still sad over that T.T). I read one of his books by chance when I was 12 and that got me to love reading. He is also the reason why I love so many classics, particularly Russian literature. He would often mention authors and books from around the world which would get me to want to read these books. So I basically owe him everything :D

My name is Décio a.k.a MaluTheMan in this community, I'm 22 years old and live in the Algarve, Portugal. I used to read a lot when I was in school, reading during classes instead of paying attention, which I do not recommend doing. I've been procrastinating since(almost 4 years) then because of my hobbies taking a lot of my day and night time, stealing all my energy. That's why I'm here, to get some motivation and regain my old habit of reading and loving it while interacting with all of you.
The stuff I enjoy and spend the most time doing, as referred before as my hobbies, are surf, bodyboard, skate, travel, video games and hang out with my friends.
