Now onto the next task. The College student felt like she was always off to one thing or another, but she preferred life that way. Downtime never really interested her all that much. So as she changed into a some tight jeans and a shiny crop top, she looked up directions on her phone. The name hadn't been anyone she recognized, but it always some bar or club. Ali was lucky enough to be turning 21. God things would be easier when she wasn't having to use a fake ID. Well it wasn't exactly a fake ID, she had stolen her older sister's ID about six months ago. It was completely real and even had the benefit of the photo actually resembling her.
After Karma had done up her hair and make up in a fashion to make her appear a bit more like her sister she, ordered up an uber to get her to the bar. No point driving herself when she doubted she would be able to drive herself home. 25 minutes later she was paying the annoyingly high fare and heading inside. The place wasn't at all what she had expected the birthday girl to choose, in fact it was quite the opposite, there wasn't a single strobe light. Not that the blonde minded, the atmosphere was good for socializing and that could just as fun as dancing.
Green eyes scanned around the bar and the tables but no sign of her friends yet. She knew that she couldn't be early, but it was more likely that the rest were late, probably because Ali had gotten distracted hooking up with her boyfriend. The thought got Karma to chuckle a bit as headed for the bar. If she had to wait she might as well have a drink.

She only ordered a Blue moon, not bothering to follow through on her threat to order something top shelf. Shots would be for the birthday girl. Exchanging the drink for a couple of dollars as a tip, Karma took it with her over to the generous stranger, "Most people like to wait and see what the order is before making an offer like that."

Either way he seemed at least interested in talking, so it would be a nice way to spend her time waiting for the rest to arrive. She took a sip from her beer and then gave a small shrug, "At least 50% of this bar and probably another 5% that are gay. So do you always offer no limit drinks to pretty girls or do you only do it on special occasions?"

She had gone to bed kinda late but she often lost track of time when working on a mission in her favorite games, so nothing strange nothing strange there. Was she dreaming then? Did that mean she was aware she was dreaming? All these dizzying thoughts raced through her mind in the time it took her to notice that she wasn't alone. Letting out a half gasp, half squeal, Alex leap backward at the sight of strange beings before her. " What's going on?" Not the most eloquent way to start but she couldn't be choosy right now.

At mention of the a queen there was a faint tickle of a memory but she couldn't quite grasp it. She wasn't given time to dwell on that matter though as one of them suddenly broke off from the bickering and drew closer. The man had a punk look about him, with all the piercing and colored hair. The ears were a weird accessory for a punk, but then again not the thing to focus on. Except it was when one of the ears moved, on it's own.
Alex stared for a long second before her brain processed the fact that this colorful man had known her name. All strangeness aside, that was far more concerning. Slowly she nodded and her blue gaze narrowed in suspicion. "How is it you know that? For that matter who are you anyway?"

Mad hatter chuckled at the two who glanced seemed to find some way to bump heads. "I am the Hatter.." he said as lifted up his tall hat. "This dormouse." He added as stepped slightly so she could get a better view. "And this white ball of fur.. its rabbit." Cheshire said as he pointed behind him without looking back.
~Sorry, its short. I am on my phone at the moment

Alex forced a long steadying breath in her nose and out through her mouth. There was a lot going on but most of it was superficial, as superficial as moving cat ears could be. The bigger problem was clearly these men here had some kinda expectation of her. Expectation of what she had no idea, but she doubted it was to share some mint chocolate ice cream with them.
She delayed her response for a moment longer than normal as she took in the four men upon each introduction. It was pretty obvious that she wasn't going to like this one called Rabbit. He seemed to have a stick shoved somewhere that she wanted no part of. Dormouse, seemed ready to take a nap rather than say anything. And that Hatter, well there was just something about him that set her teeth on edge.
So that left the one before her, who had introduced himself as Cheshire. He seemed polite enough and now that she was managing the initial shock factor, Alex noticed how he seemed completely relaxed, as if this was a normal affair. With her thoughts collected she focused now on the new bit of information, " I'm sorry but what choice are you talking about? Also you didn't say how you knew my name."

Her analyze was distracted again when Rabbit took Cheshire's place before. Subconsciously she stepped away once he got inside her imaginary bubble. Combining the warning tone in the punk's voice and the fact that the man had to clarify that he wasn't going to hurt her, left her a little one edge.
Heart rate spiking again as she raced to formulate a response," Well then Mr. Rabbit. I'll try to make your life easier than you are making mine. You can leave whenever you please. Because even if I did believe these shenanigans about making a choose, it wouldn't be you." Ok that might have been a little harsh, especially since Alex was normally a very sweet girl. But she hated being cornered, both physically and in conversation. This guy had managed to press both of those buttons at once.

Doing her best to ignore the laughing cat, the young blonde focused on the strange disheveled man. He seemed nice enough, but something still seemed rather off about him. "Ok then... let me try to follow this. I remember accidentally breaking a toy in a shop on 12st street, but there is no way that could be connected to this heart you are talking about. It was just a plastic toy, else it wouldn't have broken like that." Even as she said this, her subconscious dredged up more of the dream of the courtroom. No it hadn't been a dream, or at least it was real as any of this moment was.
Alex glanced around the 3 remaining men, "Wait, she picked you to be here? So you don't have a choice in this either?" It was a bit of a side track of the main problem, but the part of her that understood what was happening felt pity for these men that were forced into this because of her mistake.

Alex had already solved one of the issues by getting Rabbit to go on his way, this left a rather obvious choice of the remaining three. She needed someone that had less interest in whole ordeal than her, which ruled out Hatter. He seemed a little too curious and helpful. Not to mention she guessed he would be completely unpredictable. Dormouse was also out of the question. She hadn't seen enough from him yet to gauge how to handle him, so it would be safest to go with what she had the most information on.
It kinda felt like one of those strategy rpg games where you have to pick your teammates based on which battle was coming up. Alex shook off the distracting game thoughts and then pointed up into the tree where Cheshire was lounging, "Well if I don't have a choice in the matter then I choose him." Even though she kept her chin up and her back straight, her hand as well as her voice trembled just a bit.

Once they were gone her full attention came to rest on the feline man as he hopped back to the ground. For a brief moment she considered not following but quickly decided that would be a far worse idea that to follow the stranger. She scampered to fall into step along side of Cheshire, taking in her surroundings, committing as much detail to memory as possible, just in case she had to find her way back. "A problem? No actually I think it will be a benefit. To be honest it was the reason why I choose you. The others seemed rather overwhelming and thus would be a distraction."
Alex had little qualms about her analytical choice or explanation, though she really did hope that she hadn't put this man's life at risk. The guilt would surely kill her.
