I was going to say I wonder why I haven't joined earlier, but it looks like I'm pretty darn early.

Hi Christopher. I suggested this group to Justin and Kurt, and they thought it would be a great idea, so I set this up last night.
I figure that we'll talk about the upcoming featured novels, and maybe read some of the books that Justin and Kurt review on the the show.
David, you should have a listen, there's plenty of pulp classics in the backlist. Great to see you both, by the way. :)

First of all I’d like to thank Geoff for setting up this group. We look forward to seeing the discussion that develops and utilizing some of that conversation in the show. This is very new and we will be working with Geoff to set up a timeline so that the reading here will stay ahead of the podcast.
We select works in an attempt to balance popular fiction, classic works and more obscure pieces across the wide range of crime fiction. We do this in an attempt to engage listeners who may or may not be aware of certain works. Behind the scenes, I can tell you that shows that cover better known books get more downloads. Hopefully listeners come to the show to hear about books they already enjoy and stay to learn about those they’re less familiar with.
Welcome to all. I look forward to reading your comments.

Obviously 1st thing I have to do tomorrow is download the podcast to my iPad and give it a listen.
Sounds very promising.
Intrigued by the Nordic noir. I've enjoyed several entries in that genre. I preferred the original Dragon Tattoo to the U.S. version.

Cheers
Cordelia

Welcome to the group, Tom! Good to have you.
Justin

Welcome to the group, Rob. "Girl With" is a long one, but it's pretty fast paced. We're starting a stretch of shorter books in Eps 16-18, so it should help with catching up. Cheers!

Thanks, I'm looking forward to it!
