G.G. (ggatcheson) | 169 comments Just a quick word to remind people that even if the threads for old read and reviews from previous weeks have been moved to the archive, you can still ask the authors for copies. So if you don't find something you'd like to read in the current 'read and review' folder, go and check the 'read and review archives' folder. :)

Happy Reading!

message 4: by G.G. (new)

G.G. (ggatcheson) | 169 comments My post was not to start a request frenzy. It was to remind people that old threads are still open. There's a special thread for requests.
You follow the example from the first post and fill the book data and when the time comes, J.J. chooses eight books randomly and those from these R2R threads are the only ones allowed. So, please follow the group's rule.

I can't link to the current request thread because i'm on my iPad, but a quick search should point you in the right direction.

message 5: by Lizzie (new)

Lizzie Ashworth Do old requests stay in the selection pile until all are chosen? Several weeks ago I listed my three novels in the Jarrod Bancroft series and Book 1 was chosen for the R&R list the next week. I found out you would only choose one of a series for any one R&R group. So now I'm wondering--should I relist Book II, or assume it remains in the pile?

message 6: by G.G. (new)

G.G. (ggatcheson) | 169 comments Lizzie, you need to relist your book(s) after each time J.J. posts the new R&R. The old request thread is discarded and a new one is created for the next R2R list. If your book has been chosen one week, they ask the author to wait (I'm not sure how long 4 or 6 weeks?) before requesting another R2R for the same book.

Check the rules here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

I would LOVE for you to review my horror novel, SANTA'S LITTLE HELPER...
Here is the synopsis:
He shows up in a white box, with a bright red book under his arm... He wears a jolly grin and hat, a suit with gold bells and green yarn... He watches you for Santa, or so his red book claims... But though his grin is jolly, he's not here for fun and games...

The children have been chosen, such precious little souls they are... And may the Gods be with them, if they wish to make it very far... For Santa's Little Helper does not say, but knows important things... He knows when you've been bad or good, and what monsters stalk your dreams... He knows when you are sleeping, he knows when you're awake...He's picking out his presents...He's got some souls to take.

Please PM me with preferred format if interested. Santa's Little Helper

J.D. Wright (everealm) | 12 comments Good evening!

Looking for readers/reviewers for my debut fantasy-romance novel set in medieval-ish fantasy realm called Everealm. This is the first of the series which include kingdoms, wizards, fairies, and other magical and fantasy elements. Sample chapters can be found here: http://everealmseries.blogspot.com/ (Click on 'Book Samples' at the top).

If you're interested, please send me an email at everealmbyjdw@gmail.com

NOTE: Adult content/language, mild/moderate sex & violence (there are swords and daggers, after all!)

Synopsis:
Breestlin cannot escape her destiny to become ruler of her father's kingdom, but she never planned to become queen at twenty-three years of age. Upon the return of her first love, Rowan, Bree must quickly learn how to adapt to both her new responsibilities as a ruler and her inability to suppress her feelings for Rowan. To make matters more difficult, her outcast uncle, Silas, has declared himself to be the rightful heir of Junacave and will stop at nothing to get what he desires. This forces Bree to seek the assistance of the wizard, Dagan, who in a twist of fate discovers much more about his family (and himself) than he could ever imagine.

Romance and danger await, as we journey through Everealm, the first book of the Everealm Series.

Thanks so much!

Unworthy is receiving solid reviews here and on sales channels. One reviewer wrote "This ebook consumed me" and another "I loved it, every chapter, every word. Jake Scholl (jakeschollwriter) | 1 comments Hi all!

Blade Of The Broken (The Runeblade Trilogy #1) by Jake Scholl
Name: Jake Scholl
Email: jakeschollwriter@hotmail.com
Website URL: http://jakeescholl.wordpress.com/

Novel Title: Blade Of The Broken: Book I of The Runeblade Trilogy

Genre: Fantasy. A hybrid of Epic and Heroic. (And it can get a little dark at times. Nothing too graphic, but still not for kids. Here's the link to the excerpt http://www.amazon.com/Blade-Broken-Bo... )
Length: 233 pages, or 54,000 words.
Format: Kindle, ePub, PDF, html (I can send a copy in any electronic format. Just not a paperback. Or I can give you a Smashwords code.)

Back Cover Blurb: Thirteen years ago, the lands of Kronea were embroiled in war.

The Sorcerer King, Warrick Volung, killed thousands of innocent men and elves with his sorcery, and the powerful Runeblade, forged by the God of Light Tuireann himself... When it was created, the blade was a weapon of good. But it was warped by Warrick’s evil soul, and his worship of his God: the Arch-Demon Morak.

The people of the lands, the last of the Elves, the Mages & Paladins of Seran Drakis, and the Rangers Guild united to stop the King. They defeated his army, and took the Runeblade, and broke it in two. Warrick was forced to retreat to his homeland, and has hid there ever since.

Now Kronea is relatively peaceful. Even with peace, there are still monsters in the shadows: human and humanoid alike. To keep order, the Rangers Guild seek them out, and deal with them accordingly.

Stefan Rickardson is one of the best Rangers. He always gets the mission done, no matter the cost. When he's sent on a quest to stop yet another person, he thinks it's the same as every other mission... But the further he goes on the hunt, the more Stefan starts to question his orders. Especially when the person he's after isn't evil.

Meanwhile, a greater evil is stirring up again, and will push Stefan to his emotional and psychological limits... And it will break him, and everyone around him.

Wills will be tested… And blood will be spilled.

How Many Copies Available for Reviewers: Unlimited copies available. 1 per reviewer.

Stipulations: You, the reviewer, have permission to post your review everywhere. (After posting it on Amazon.) The copy is yours and yours alone. I can provide a free copy via Smashwords code, or I’ll send you a file… Most importantly, don’t go easy on me. I want to know what you think of the book, whether it’s good or bad.

S.M. Yair-Levy | 1 comments Hello!
First of all, happy holidays! I'm an author of my very first book Stolen, the Collectors, Book 1. Published under my pen name S. M. Yair-Levy. Stolen (The Collectors, #1) by S.M. Yair-Levy

I'm sure, as many of you know, getting reviews are the keys to success for authors. So please, check out my novel!

I've deemed it "the opposite of a fairytale." Others have felt it to be "tense and deliciously creepy." If you like dark romances where the ending isn't so happy, read my book!

**21-year-old Dylan Prescott has endured a life full of pranks, tears, rumors, and disappointments. Just as she begins to feel confident with her new sought after boring life, she's attacked.
Her veil of normalcy is suddenly yanked away as she becomes the target of multiple Soul Collecting Demons, all vying to dominate her. But it doesn't take much for her to realize she's too naive to compete with the ancient creatures.
But why her? What's so special about Dylan Prescott? And what happens to her when she finds herself helplessly in love with one of them?**

This week I have it on sale for .99¢ on Kindle and iBooks.

Cassandra Larsen I'm looking for some reviewers who would be interested in reading the first book in my young adult urban fantasy series, "Silent Circle".

Silent Circle (Silent Circle #1) by Cassandra Larsen Short Blurb: "Silent Circle"
“Most teens get a car for their seventeenth birthday. Me? I get inducted into a freaky coven of witches.”

When Emerson wakes up on her seventeenth birthday, she has no idea that her life will change forever. After her mother’s inexplicable suicide three years ago, she’s gotten used to the scorn and sideways looks of her classmates. She knows that everyone believes her mother was crazy, and that it’s only a matter of time before Emerson cracks herself. So when Emerson starts seeing things and hearing voices, she begins to think that the rest of the town may be right.

That is, until Caiden, an enigmatic boy from her class, tells her that she’s a witch, just like her mother. With the truth revealed, a whole new world opens up to Emerson, a world she soon discovers holds its own dangers.

I'm looking for bloggers and reviewers who would be interested in reading and posting an honest review on Amazon, Goodreads, or anywhere else they would like. I can either email you a copy for your Kindle or I can send you a PDF. If you're interested, pm me or Email me at cassandralarsen5353@gmail.com

message 43: by Henry (new)

Henry Herz (nimpentoad) Looking for GR/Amazon reviewers for my 32-page fantasy picture book, MONSTER GOOSE NURSERY RHYMES (Monster Goose Nursery Rhymes), coming out next month from Pelican Publishing.

Enter an enchanted land of mythical creatures where manticores reign and ogres roar. With a unique twist on traditional rhymes, Monster Goose Nursery Rhymes presents a darker approach to these childhood classics, and yet the sing-song nature of the poems renders them playful and jovial at the same time. Little Witch Muffet is not frightened by a silly, little spider; she adds him to her stew! If you enjoy mischief and have a penchant for the morbidly hilarious, the rhymes will satisfy your mythological curiosities. The book also includes a "bestiary" with information about the book's legendary creatures.

Selected blurbs include:
"For all of us who grew up loving Dungeons & Dragons and Tolkien, Monster Goose Nursery Rhymes is an excellent way to introduce our little ones to the world of fantasy!"
— Drew Daywalt, author of the New York Times bestseller The Day the Crayons Quit
"Monster Goose Nursery Rhymes is an inventive welcome to the traditional rhymes we all grew up with. Both kids and adults, whose interest are a bit dark and creepy and off the beaten path, will revel in the rhymes' inventive dark humor. Bravo!"
— Dan Yaccarino, author and illustrator of Unlovable, Doug Unplugged, and more
"Monstrously clever—I'd rather Mary had a hippogriff than a 'little lamb' any day!"
— Molly Idle, Caldecott Honor winning illustrator of Flora and the Flamingo and more
"Monstrously clever and soon to be schoolyard standards."
— Tara Lazar, PiBoIdMo host and author of The Monstore, I Thought This Was a Bear Book and more
"Nursery rhymes have always had a dark edge to them from eating spiders to catching toes of tigers. Henry, Josh and Harrison have created a perfect Halloween treat by embracing the ghoulish side of mother goose, leveling up the beastly fun! Well done!"
— Ron Noble, Emmy Winning animation director of Rugrats, Rocket Power & The Wild Thornberrys
"What a clever concept! Henry Herz and sons have rewritten Mother Goose with a monstrous twist that will trigger giggles from little ghouls and goblins."
— Deb Lund, bestselling author of Monsters on Machines, Dinosauring, and more
"Monster Goose Nursery Rhymes is an elfishly edifying, bewitchingly funny, and just plain zombie-tastic take on well-loved nursery rhymes. It made me realize my inner child is actually an inner ogre."
— Mo O’Hara, author of My Big Fat Zombie Goldfish
