Crystal (wcdoland) | 5 comments I am looking for a romance novel. It is a historical novel either set in medieval times or Scottish highlands. I believe the book starts off with three men going to and English party to kidnap a girl for revenge, ransom, something. The majority of the book is about their travels with the girl to Scotland. She keeps trying to escape and is very strong willed. The men do not like her because she is English but are impressed because she can kind of hold her own. I believe there are only three men and the main man obviously falls in love with her but they all end up liking her. At one point in their travels she falls asleep but the men can tell she is cold so I think while one keeps watch the other two huddle around her to keep her warm. I think at this point the one man says to the other one that she ends up with, "...if you don't want her, I do..." Or something to that effect. The man that says this is also, at the beginning, against kidnapping her and seems like he dislikes her the most. Mainly because he dislike English woman. Help...I have been trying to find this book for the past year. It was one I fell in love when I was younger and would live to find it again.

Sherri | 74 comments Perhaps "The Wedding" by Julie Garwood? Or one of her other books with a similar theme like "The Bride" or "Ransome" or "The Secret".

Michele | 279 comments Velvet Angel by Jude Deveraux? 3 brothers kidnap their enemy's sister (Elizabeth) and are delivering her to their 4th brother (Miles), thinking he will seduce and ruin her, but of course they fall in love. One brother is standoffish, one is kind hearted and one has become a Scottish laird.

Fiona Knight (msnoctiluca) | 35 comments The description sounds almost like Daughter of the Forest, the first Sevenwaters book by Juliet Marillier.

It would be from about a third to halfway through I believe?

Sounds like The secret The Secret (Highlands' Lairds #1) by Julie Garwood as the one who says "...if you don't want her, I do..." is called Brodick iirc, and his book is next in the series - Ransom (Highlands' Lairds, #2) by Julie Garwood

The Secret is when they have to go and fetch the woman, for the Hero's brothers wife, who is about to give birth and wants her friend there.
