@Anthony Thank you for suggesting this series. It is indeed so lovely and all kinds of relationships (I usually not pay attention to these, aw…but Hobb’s is somehow different). Ah, I want to skip the swimming practice tomorrow to read this book(no, you can’t).

That stuff was from Royal Assassin, wasn’t it, Wen? I feel like I just read it. But he does now have a name!

Oh, I thought that all of you would start in November:) There is no way I can catch up this month...currently I am still at the 2nd book, weeping. And you're already at the 3rd book of Year's best science fiction. Why am I so slow? :)

Wen! I’m a very slow reader too (I just read whenever I get the chance), and the Elderlings series is a reread for me, so, while compelling, it’s not really a priority. Except I want to discuss it with all of you!!

I’m still waiting to start the second one. I have it at home but I’m not at home and won’t be for another week or so. Been away for just over two weeks now.

I’m making good progress on my reread of Royal Assassin. Will hopefully finish it before Thursday when we leave for Italy for Christmas.

I agree. Nighteyes is such an important character !
Jemppu wrote: "As for what I got spoiled for: (view spoiler)"That's re: Assassin's Quest, chapter 11.
I know I'm six months late, and Jemppu hasn't been here in forever, but I had to comment on this. I had not been spoiled for anything, I knew next to nothing about the series, and this detail (well two different details, one started in the previous book) were oh so painfully obvious to me. I figured both out immediately, they were so crystal clear. As are many other things. Except to Fitz <_<
Oh my, that was a lot of audiobook! I've read Farseer now, took me nine days. I'll listen to The Wilful Princess and the Piebald Prince tomorrow, and then I need to take a break with something very different before I start Liveship. It's kind of fun to look at all the titles in the larger Elderlings universe, and speculate what they might mean!
There is a graphic novel series of The Assassin’s Apprentice with 4 volumes so far. The first one is on sale ATM (not sure how long, though) (for £1.59 on the Amazon UK):Check this out! https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BGVTMT7...
