I find it a bit misleading.

Hum.... Interesting but I have the feeling that the "Good choice if" misses a few points, don't you think? I mean the books and discussions are being more and more broaden. Maybe I am just being picky 😮 it would not surprise me 😋

I agree with you, I mean, it's not JUST about women's right, isn't it? As you said, the books and discussions are being more broaden as months go by. Plus, they could have added the books we had been currently reading in the "recent reads" part. 'The Hate U Give' is a very recent one, but 'The Beauty Myth' is from last year.

Ha... Hum... Yeah that is also true, "The beauty myth" is not that recent. I was more astonished by "if you care about woman's right" I feel it was a bit nonchalant, I cannot really explain my feeling about it (I could say "I have a bad feeling about it" 😊) but to me this sentence lack of profoundness which is ironic because the article claims that Our Shared Shelf "set the bar for high-quality discussions". As I said I may be picky (In other words and in another language: je suis chiant 😁). Of course it is just my interpretation and I am pretty sure that many people have different thoughts about it 😉 and this makes the world even more interesting!

I agree with you. The way they chose to say that is lackluster and almost makes it sound like, a) women's writes is a frivolous topic and is on par with saying "if you care about spaghetti" or really "if you care about -fill in the blank-", and b) as you've stated, it makes it sound like that's the only thing we discuss. It is where this book club started and is still a big part of the discussions, but we look at a lot more than just women's rights.
