***Audible Edition***
3 stars

I wonder if I might have given it more stars if I had read the book instead of listening to the audible edition. The gentleman that read it did a great job and I enjoyed all his different accents but I got lost in the story from time to time. I'm not sure if it was all the names that you had to follow or if it was that I was distracted by a ton of of stressful things going on personally so my mind was elsewhere.

I honestly didn't like Eddie Chapman as he was presented in the audible book. I appreciate the impact that he had for the Allies during the war but he was a bit of an unlikeable character. I listen to this while I was reading We Were the Lucky Ones and it was interesting to learn about the war from different perspectives. But... I was a bit frustrated because the way that I was reading it, it didn't seem like Eddie had any idea or the direness of the circumstances he was in. He seemed to laugh everything off.

I'm glad I picked it, I wish I had read it instead and I would recommend it to others.
