Both Hunter and Khalia were attracted to each other pretty soon after meeting. Did you enjoy how their relationship developed or was it too soon despite their forced attachment?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I'm guessing that when danger is palpable, attraction may be more intense.

Laura I enjoyed it and thought it was realistic for the reasons Charlene said.

I thought they had real chemistry that only intensified after what they experienced together. They probably would have ended up in the same place but it would have taken much longer. They had shared tragedies that connected and bonded them. It didn’t feel like insta-love.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 849 comments The very real life and death situations they were in just after meeting really amped up the initial attraction. It fast-tracked the whole physical attraction.

CD {Boulder Blvd} (boulderblvd) | 39 comments I'm always the dissenting vote. The first sections of the book had too much "he's so hot/she's so hot" for me. Once the action happens, the closeness makes more sense for me. Kind of like the relationship in the movie "Speed". At first it's professional, but then the intensity of their situation "speeds" the progression of a relationship.

There was a lot of mutual physical admiration going on that felt overdone until they finally acknowledged their attraction.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 849 comments I don't agree. Yeah, they found each other attractive, but I didn't get the vibe that they wanted to rip clothing and get it on the first meeting.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 101 comments I think they were attracted to each other right away and in another situation, it probably would have taken a bit longer to act on that attraction. But I felt it was realistic in the situation they were in.

Christina T (crysteena73) | 180 comments I actually didn't like how their relationship progressed so quickly. I could see them becoming close and having sex. In my mind, that is an acceptable thing to happen. However, the I Love You part felt forced to me. They hadn't even went out on a date but they are moving in together and are in love. They were in some perilous situations and this can make the feeling of togetherness grow quickly but not to the extent of love, IMO.

This is probably a weakness in RS books for a lot of people. It’s most probably not realistic but the nature of the beast.
