What are you all reading at the moment? Do you like it? Are you excited about it? What books are you waiting for?

did you finish it or are you still reading it? Because a lot of the first one is building it up, and you have to read it in big sittings as well. I hope you still read the second one or continue to read the rest! Just see how it goes. :)

I'm still reading it, it is going okay, but too slowly for my likes.

Well I'm re-reading it at the moment for the read-a-thon and my GOD I didn't realise how much foreshadowing there was!!! :O

message 9: by melike (new)

melike (melikeee) I'm currently reading the Last Olympian, the Immortal Rules, Slammed and I just started Heir of Fire. (Yeah I always read more than 1 book lol) but i have a question: The only Maghie Stiefvater books I read are the Raven Boys and the Dream Thieves and they are one of my favourite books, are the rest of her books just as good? What book of her should I REALLY read? :)

message 10: by Renee, Stiefvater Fan (new)

Renee | 1025 comments Mod
oooh ha ha. Well you should REALLY REALLY read the Scorpio Races and The 3 Shiver books, because they are good, and the others are more extras but are still good stories, just not as developed as some of her more recent stuff. :)

message 11: by melike (new)

melike (melikeee) Okay, thanks! I'll definitely read them :)

Anyone else reading or rereading The Raven Boys or The Dream Thieves???

(or has anyone managed to get an early copy of Blue Lily Lily Blue and are reading that?)

message 15: by Katarina (new)

Katarina (ganseygirl) | 45 comments Yeah, so do I. You have no idea what I already found in The Raven Boys! :D

message 16: by Renee, Stiefvater Fan (new)

Renee | 1025 comments Mod
I know! omg so many things!!!

message 17: by Felicia (new)

Felicia (mzgemini1978) I'm almost done with Stephen King's The Stand. I think I'll read Torture to her Soul by J. M. Darhower next, then Salem's Lot also by Stephen King. I recently finished book 4 in J. A. Redmerski's In The Company Of Killers series. It was fantastic! It's called Seeds Of Iniquity.

What about you, Renee?

message 18: by Renee, Stiefvater Fan (new)

Renee | 1025 comments Mod
Well I'm reading the second Raven Boys book, The Dream Thieves as part of the readathon before the third book!
Picking up more clues this time.... :D

IT IS A GREAT BOOK! It takes dedication though. It's not a light read...it has a lot of plot twists and secrets and you have to be ready to have your MIND BLOWN! :D

I agree with you, it's not really a light read. English isn't my native language, so when I was 100 pages into the book the first time I read it I was like 'What the hell is going on?' After I read it again it was more clear. But it is a really good book, you should really read it abby, it's amazing and once you're in the story you can't get out.

message 23: by Abby (new)

Abby Min | 10 comments Ok I shall try and read it if I can get my hands on it because u guys made it sound awesome.... Thankies

It's a really, really great book. I had trouble with the plot and the story cause English isn't my native language either, but the second time I read it I thought to myself: How could I have been so blind (and a little bit dumb)? :D

Renee | 1025 comments Mod
Oh don't worry English IS my native language and I had to read it at least twice before I understood what was going on! It's just an amazingly mind blowing mystery that does take a few reads to understand! (or very very acute detective spy skills while reading!)

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm now reading Sinner (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #4) by Maggie Stiefvater and it's so amazing!!! I love Cole.

message 27: by Renee, Stiefvater Fan (new)

Renee | 1025 comments Mod
Ooooh yay!!!! Cole and Isabel's story! I'm glad the big focus wasn't on werewolves and that was just a general,
'oh yeah by the way he's supernatural, but hey there are other important things going on here.'

I'm reading Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (The last one! I've been reading all the books all year!)

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

Renée wrote: "Ooooh yay!!!! Cole and Isabel's story! I'm glad the big focus wasn't on werewolves and that was just a general,

Yes, it was nice to see their live and not just everything focused on the werewolf thing, it was there, but not very much.

How's lord of the rings? I once read them when I was 10/11, but I didn't really know what was going on, so I stopped in the middle of the second book. Now, I want to read them again, but I haven't found the time for it (or maybe I just don't want to read them that much and like other books more).

message 29: by Renee, Stiefvater Fan (new)

Renee | 1025 comments Mod
ooh well you have to have time for them and be able to at least read a chapter a night. (Actually, maybe try and sit for the whole 45 mins it takes to read The Council of Elrond if you read non-stop)
Because otherwise it'll feel slow, and if you are on a roll, take advantage of that!
I'm loving them, but yeah, it's just having time.
Christmas holidays maybe? :D

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes, Christmas holidays would be a good time, I'm also going to do a buddy read with the first book, so I think that's going to stimulate me to really read them

message 31: by Renee, Stiefvater Fan (new)

Renee | 1025 comments Mod
ooh yes, but seriously, don't get too bogged down by the middle chapter between part 1 and 2 of the first book. It's best to try and read it in one sitting while you're on a roll. :) Good Luck!

Renee | 1025 comments Mod
omg I need to read Six of Crows.

Yeah I was just thinking...how long does it take everyone to read coz I was gonna do 1 book a week or 1 book every 2 weeks leading up to the release day...but that depends.
How fast do you guys read Maggie Stiefvater?

message 46: by Maryanne (new)

Maryanne | 5 comments I remember reading one book per day. But it really depends on the book. Sometimes it can be two book in a day. So it really depends which one.

message 47: by Renee, Stiefvater Fan (new)

Renee | 1025 comments Mod
hmmmm maybe 2 weeks per book but feel free to read ahead?

I'll set it up that way and invite peeps on tumblr/twitter/facebook to join in. :D

message 48: by priscilla (new)

priscilla (priscilla_aw) | 104 comments Mod
Yay sweet! I can do anything. And yeah probably at least a book a week is reasonable so everyone has a chance to do it.
