Asmita I think the language of this book is profound. This year I have decided to read only classics and I spotted this book in the library. I had heard about the author and so picked it. Was it a mistake? I hate tragedies and to me it was like Anna Karenina again. Only in Tess 's case she wasn't really married. I am still in phase 5 but I can't bear the misery. At first I was myself in love with Angel, to tell the truth but now I am really frustrated with him that he is so wound up in hi AZ moral values or whatever it is. If he truly loved her, why not forget the past and rewrite their lives. They could settle far away and the matter would be hushed up.
