I haven't read the Throne of Glass series by Sarah but I have ordered at my library, I just need to wait for the person who has it to return it.
I am reading the "A Court of Thorns and Roses" series which is amazing. I am currently waiting on the 2nd book to arrive.
I am going to have a look at this "The Dark Artifices."

I've done a little research and I would recommend you to begin with her series ''The Mortal Instruments'' instead. ''Dark Artifices'' is better when you have more background knowledge, which you get from ''The Mortal Instruments''.
Hope that made sense,

Sarah Shade | 10 comments Yeah, I'm so obsessed with it right now and I'm only on page 100. I need to catch up before I get spoiled for the 3rd book coming out soon in like two days. What is your favorite character in the series?

I promise I won't spoil anything :)
I remember how obsessed I was. I'm kind of jealous since you've the whole series ahead of you..your're in for a treat.

Favorite character..that is hard. It has been a while since I read the two first books, but I think it has to be Julian. I feel that I connect with him more than the other characters. His feelings run so deap and Cassandra explains them in such a beautiful way. I truly feel with him.

Who is your favorite?

Umm.... I don't know yet I really like Emma because she makes the best jokes and just really badass. Are you excited for the new book coming out? I just love the book because they bring the old characters into and I love it.

That's what I'm trying to do but I don't think I can finish lady midnight and lord of shadows in just a day. But life goes on. LOL

Love her books. That will definitely go on my pile of to-reads. Just finished H.G. Howard's ROSEBLOOD, and actually wasn't that impressed. Was very slow and too prose descriptive rather than action or emotional packed, and it took over halfway through before it got to the good stuff. Was disappointed, because it had a lot of potential.

Yeah I love the plot as well. I love how Cassandra can create new stories and characters in her original world and make them even better (my opinion :). ) than the original characters!

I'm really excited for the new book, but I have to wait like two months before I can read it :( My local library will buy it next year... I hope I won't see any spoilers..

Cassandra is the best :). I've not read that book, but I do hate it when a book has a lot of potential, but doesn't use it...it's very frustration to read..

Sky | 10 comments I just finished the Throne of Glass series and it was absolutely incredible!!! The problem is, I don't know what to read next because I fear it won't be as good as Sarah J. Maas's books.

message 78: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa Gauthier | 1 comments I know that it is more or less YA, but I am currently reading The Silmarillion from J.R.R Tolkien! Its really good. Essentially the bringing together of all the Lord of the Rings author's notes on the creation of his world, the Humans, the Elves, etc.. Really interesting so far!

Hey everyone, I'm Chante, I just finished reading "The Cruel Prince" by Holly Black. I would recommend the series to anyone if you loved ACOTAR. Holly Black has more of a complex writing of faeries but I would say their both really good reads.

Lara | 7 comments FREE OFFER - I came on here to see if any of you book-seekers would be interested in my new YA novel, 'Quest' - it's free this weekend on Amazon (Genre: YA fantasy / adventure / romance). QUEST: First Snow Book 1

...but after reading all those earlier comments I'm fixated on looking up 'Deep Blue'! Mermaids here I come.

Lara | 7 comments Just started the second of the Lunar Chronicles. Loved 'Cinder,' although it finished on a bit more of a cliffhanger than I like...a lot of the reviews I've read say the second one is better.

Am simultaneously reading Diana Gabaldon's 'Drums of Autumn', depending on my mood.

Wow, I read these years ago - not sure if I ever read the first one though. Think I started with Valley of Horses and didn't finish the series (due to living in remote area without a decent library!). May try the series again from the start.
