Ace yawned as he woke up, it was only 5:30 am. He still had enough time to get dress and head to work, he glanced over and saw his beautiful wife. And a smile appeared on his face, He moved her face out of her face and kissed her cheek. The word "love" didn't explain the feelings he had for this woman, he adored the ground she walked on. And nothing she did, would ever change that. Ace sighed and got up, he fixed his side of the bed. Like he did every day. He walked to the bathroom quietly, so he won't wake his wife up. He sighed once he was inside the bathroom, he closed the door before he started his shower water. He was inside the shower. He let the warm water run throw his curly, shoulder length hair. He peeked out the shower, and glanced at the clock that hung on the bathroom wall. He had been in the shower for 15 minutes. Damn he thought to himself before he turned off the water, his wife always said that he stayed in the shower to long. And he could never prove her wrong. Ace got out the shower and grabbed his towel, he wrapped it around his waist after he dried off. He ran his hands through his wet hair. He started getting dress, which was easy since he layed out the cloths he wanted to wear out yesterday, so they could be ready for him today.
Reese was still sound asleep by the time her husband got up for work. Her long wavy blond hair in her face as she slept, one arm hugging her pillow. Once ace had gotten out of bed, she’d stretched her legs out and over into his side of the bed. She slept for a bit longer but woke up when he got out of the shower and came back into the bedroom. Reese blinked sleepily and watched her husband with a faint smile on her face. She loved him more than anything in the world and reminded him of that most every day. “Have a good day love..” she mumbled sleepily to him, yawning.
(So should this be like before they try to have a kid or like around when they find out she’s pregnant?)
- Around when they found she is pregnant-Ace glanced back at his wife as he pulled up his pants, he chuckled at her sleepy voice. He thought it was adorable. "I will try, honey." he said before he turned around and grabbed his shirt. His hair was still slightly wet but, it didn't bother him. After he shirt, he put on his socks and shoes. He finished his outfit by putting his hair into a messy bun. "I will call you around lunch." he said as he walked to the bed to give her another kiss. "Get some more rest, love you." he said as his lips parted from her lips. Ace grabbed his phone and his wallet, he left out the room shortly after that. He grabbed his jacket, which was hanging by the front door and left for work.
(Okay. Thanks)Reese smiled softly at him. She watched him get dressed, shifting and sitting up to kiss him when he came over to her. “I’ll talk to you later. I love you..” she mumbled, laying back down. She hadn’t been feeling well the past week or so, just generally nauseous and tired. She hadn’t connected that with the possibility that she could be pregnant though.
Her and Ace had been trying to get pregnant for a while. After a long time of struggling and trying, they’d finally started going to a doctor and then a fertility specialist to try and help Reese get pregnant. She took the medicines they’d prescribed but wasn’t all that hopeful that they’d work but they kept trying. Reese just doubted that it would actually work though so pregnancy didn’t pop into her head when she felt sick. She just thought it was a stomach bug or something.
-- Your Welcome --Ace didn't talk about the struggles that him and Reese have been having. It wasn't that he was ashamed of it, it was just a touchy subject to talk about. So to everyone that he knew they had perfect marriage. Ace walked into his job, his co'workers smiled and waved at him as he walked in. "Hi, Ace." said one of his semi-close friend. Ace waved back and spoke. "Morning, Casper." Casper, walked over to Ace with a smile, Ace whoever sighed with slight annoyance. Ace honestly wasn't a people person except when it came to Reese.
Reese went back to sleep for a bit until her own alarm went off to wake her up for work. She groaned and sat up, biting her lip at the nausea that hit her nearly immediately. She grabbed her phone to turn off the alarm before getting up and slipping into the bathroom to sit by the toilet until she felt a bit better. She texted ace. ‘Hey love. I’m calling out of work today. I feel like crap..’ She sent to him just to let him know. The nausea eventually passed and she called her job to let them know she wouldn’t be making it in that day. She didn’t want to spend all day lounging around though so she got dressed and tied her hair up in a messy bun, texting her friend who was off of work that day too just to talk. Reese was really close with her friend Cory so they knew about how she was struggling to get pregnant and all that.
Ace was sitting in his office finally, after having to have a convection with Casper for what seemed like forever. His phone laied on his desk close to him, like always just in case Reese or even his family needed to contact him. Ace was on his computer when he saw his phone light up. He grabbed it when he noticed that it was Reese. Ace grabbed his phone and read the text, she sent him. He sighed at her text, it only made him worry about her more than he normally would. He it didn't know what was really going on with her, everytime he asked her to go to the hospital she would just say she would be okay. She was stubborn like that but, he loved her none the less. Baby, i am going to call Phoebe and tell her to come watch over you he sent the text, Phoebe was his younger sister, she only lived a block away from him. She was a house-wife, she didn't really have a lot to do when her husband went to work. So Ace knew she wound't mind stopping to watch over Reese for him. Ace called and Phoebe and told her to go over to his house. At first Phoebe was more into being nosy than doing what Ace asked of her. "Phoebe can you please, don't do this right now. Just go over there until i get back." he said, Phoebe agreed finally. And the two hung up, Phoebe after her house to head to Ace and Reese's house.
Reese rolled her eyes at her husband’s response. “I’m okay love.. just nauseous. Phoebe doesn’t need to come baby sit me. I’ve got my crackers and sprite. I’ll be fine.’ She sent, trying to reassure him. She got along with his younger sister well enough. It just didn’t seem like ace needed to ask her to come over to keep an eye on Reese. The most that would happen would be that she’d throw up. But she didn’t argue with ace, knowing that if she was being too stubborn about it, he’d probably come home to keep an eye on her instead. Reese plopped down on the couch with a sleeve of crackers and a can of sprite on the table next to her along with a wastebin on the floor in case she suddenly did get sick. She turned on the tv and watched the news until she heard phoebe at the door. She got up and let her in. “Hey..” she greeted softly.
Phoebe smiled and waved once Reese opened the door, Phoebe liked Reese, her personality was just so sweet. And the fact that she made her brother so happy made her like her more. "Ace, told me to come." she said as she walked in, her eyes wondered around like she hadn't been inside of their house before. But every-time she walked in, her heart melted. The way Reese and Ace decorated the house, Phoebe honestly just loved their style together. She walked into the living slowly as she caught herself glancing at a picture that she saw hundreds of times. -----------------------------
Ace sighed as he read his wife's text. He smirked at the fact that she thought she had a choice in the matter, he let her decided a lot of things. But this wasn't one of them. If she didn't want his sister to come watch her, he would walk out his job in a heart beat. love you gorgeous. I will be home early. he sent her the text, he was sure his sister was already there. So he placed his phone back into it's normal spot and went back to work.
“I know. I told him that I just didn’t feel good but I’ve been kinda nauseous for the past few days so it’s probably just some bug. I don’t know. I was honestly just gonna get some housework done today so you’re welcome to just hang out or whatever.” Reese explained to phoebe. She shut the door after she’d come in and walked back to the couch, looking at phoebe. “That’s still one of your favorite pictures, isn’t it?” She guessed. It was a picture of her and ace from a long time ago, dressed up together for some party or something and they both just seemed so happy and in love. It was still one of Reese’s favorites and she knew that phoebe liked the picture too.
"Yes, of course." Phoebe said with a bright smile. Phoebe ran her hand through her blood red hair. "Y'all look so happy in that picture." Phoebe added as she finally walked away from the picture and sat down. -------
Ace was in his office, handling paper work one second and the next he was called for a meeting. He loved his job but, when things happened that he didn't plan. It would get annoyed quite quickly. He got up and grabbed the papers he would need for the meeting, he glanced at his phone and decided to send Reese a quick text to let her own that he was heading into a meeting. Ace hated having to turn off his phone for a meeting, so he never did. He turned it on silent as he walked toward the office, where the meeting was going to be held. He walked in and his boss sat waiting for everyone. "The first one like always." he said with a smirk toward Ace. Ace nodded as he spoke. "Yes, sir." he sat four chairs down from his boss, not realizing he picked the same chair every time.
“Agreed. I love that one.” Reese agreed softly. She shrugged at phoebe before picking up her phone, Cory finally texting her back, suggesting the idea that she could be pregnant, knowing morning sickness was often really common. Reese bit her lip and glanced at phoebe. She wasn’t sure what all phoebe knew about her and ace so she wasn’t sure if she should try to talk about it with her or not. Reese sighed softly at the thought.
Phoebe was looking at TV, but she glanced at Reese for a moment and was about to turn her glance back to the TV when she noticed the look on her face. She raised her eyebrow before she spoke. "Umm.. are you okay?" she asked.
Reese knew she probably looked perplexed, mentally trying to figure out if she could be pregnant or if she was just sick like she thought. She watched the tv absently. “Uhh. Yeah. I’m fine.” She assured quickly.
Phoebe frowned and shook her head. "No, i might know you as well as Ace does but i can tell some is wrong." she said, Phoebe had alot of female friends all with their own special problems so she was use to giving a shoulder to cry on. Which included Reese if she ever needed her. And it seemed like something was wrong. So why wouldn't Phoebe help as much as she can. "So spill, sweety.. what's going on?" Phoebe added.
“Nothings wrong persay.” Reese shrugged at phoebe, wary of telling her until she actually found out. But that meant having to go and get a blood test. Which she knew she could do pretty easily with a call ahead to her doctor but she didn’t even want to do that. “Just might have figured out why I’ve been feeling so sick.” She answered quietly, choosing to be subtle about it. She looked over at phoebe and shrugged at her.
Phoebe nodded to her words. "Do you mind me asking, what is it?" Phoebe asked, she tried to think what Reese was trying to get at but, her being pregnant didn't cross her mind. Ace never told her about the problems were having, he loved his sister but at the same time. He knew she would quickly tell their parents and have them worry, so he rather deal with the pain alone with Reese. He knew his wife told others but they were different in alot of was. But they say opposite attracted.
“I’ll tell you once I figure it out for sure I guess..” Reese decided. She didn’t want to admit the possibility to anyone really, not until she’d told Ace at least. But she wouldn’t even tell him until she got the blood test and knew for sure. She didn’t want to get his hopes up and not have it turn out, not wanting to hurt him like that. It had hurt enough when they found out how it might be pretty challenging for them to even get pregnant. “You willing to ride with me to the doctors? Since you’re supposed to be keeping an eye on me apparently?” She asked, picking up her phone so she could call the doctor.
"Sure." Phoebe said as she stood up, Phoebe didn't know what was going on but she was her brothers wife so she was family and she did anything for family. Even when she had no idea what the hell was going on. At this time Ace was getting out of his meeting. He didn't get a text from Reese like he normally would, which was unusual for her but he tried not to think about it to much, since he did send his sister over there. And knew he would at least hear back from Phoebe if anything was happening. Since he didn't he didn't thing he had anything to worry about and just carried on with work.
“You can sit for a few. I still have to get ready to go and set up an appointment I think.” Reese called her doctors office and spoke with the receptionist for a moment, seeing if she needed to set up an appointment or what. They said she didn’t need to make an appointment, they’d just draw a little blood and do the rest but it would take a bit so she could go home and they’d call her. Reese then hung up with them and got up. “Okay. It shouldn’t take long there. And then is there anything you need or want to do today? I already called out of work so I’m free today..”
"No.. once we are done, Malik should be getting off." she said, she liked making sure she was home when he got home. She didn't have no reason, it was just something she loved to do. Phoebe grabbed her keys that where on the couch where she was just sitting. "Let's go.. Oh, actually we could get something to eat before i drop you off." she said as she glanced back at Reese, she shrugged her shoulders not knowing what was Reese's answer before she walked off. She headed out to her car, when she sat down. She noticed her phone was blinking a blue light, which meant she missed a call. She sighed thinking it was Ace checking to see if she was checking on his wife. Her brother loved this girl, it was cute sometimes and others it was annoying. Phoebe didn't know how Reese could handle him. Once Reese got in the car, Phoebe headed off to the doctor.
Reese nodded. She got her shoes and wallet and turned off the tv before moving to follow phoebe. “Alright. That sounds good. Depending on if I feel like puking my guts up or not though.” She commented softly, shrugging. Reese got in the passengers seat and watched phoebe drive to the doctors. “Stay here? I’ll be back in like 5 mins, 10 at the most?” She asked, moving to get out of the car once phoebe parked.
As Phoebe waited in the car in the parking lot of the doctor office. Ace was driving back home. He told his boss that Reese was sick and he let him go he early like he knew the old man would. But when Ace pulled into his house and didn't see Phoebe's car he quickly got pissed. Thinking he sister didn't bother doing what he asked of her or she left before he got back. He sighed as he put his car in park and go out. He didn't care as long as Reese was fine that's all that matter to him. He got out the car and headed inside but the house was empty when he walked in. He called for Reese and she didn't answer, he searched the house but no one was home. Where could she be? he asked himself as he flopped onto the couch and ran his hand through his hair.
Reese hadn’t been expecting for ace to come home early so she didn’t think to tell him where she was going, figuring she’d be home before him. She went in to the doctors office and let them draw a bit of blood. She waited and spoke with her doctor for a few as well before heading back out to the car to go back home. She got in the car and glanced at her phone. “Sorry about that phoebe. They just needed to draw some blood..” she explained to her.
Phoebe shook her head with a smile. "No need, it is fine." she said, she started the car and drove off. "Do you want to stop and get something to eat or just head home?" she asked once she stopped at a red light.
Reese glanced over and shrugged. “Uhh. Just get home I guess... I don’t know when ace is supposed to be home. I don’t need him stressing out even more. He’s been worried enough the past few days about me.” She decided softly, making sure ace hadn’t texted her.
Phoebe nodded with a small smile. She started driving once again, she drove back to Ace and Reese's house. "Guess who's home." she said with a little chuckle. When she spotted Ace's car parked outside. Phoebe pulled to the sidewalk to let Reese out. "Tell stick butt I said hi." she said with a smirk. She let Reese out and waited for her car door to be closed before she drove off heading to her own husband who was wondering where she been.
Reese smiled faintly. “Thanks phoebe. I’ll talk to you later?” She offered, moving to get out of the car when she stopped st the sidewalk. “And I will.” She assured, getting out. She shut the door and waved to phoebe before heading up to the house and coming inside. “I’m back love.” She called out to ace, unsure where he was.
Ace heard his wife's voice. He was, of course, worried about her. He jumped off the couch and walked to the front of the house. He saw her and smile, he kissed her cheek before asking. "Where you been?"
Reese bit her lip to avoid rolling her eyes at how he practically rushed over to her. She glanced up at him. “I just had phoebe take me to the doctors office. That’s all. I wasn’t expecting you home so early. My bad.” She explained softly, shrugging st him.
Ace nodded once she told him where she been. He didn't bother asking why she went to the doctor, knowing if it was anything serious or important she would tell him. At least she hoped he would. "Well, I started dinner. I didn't know if you were feeling well enough to cook so..." he said with the shrug of his shoulders. Ace wasn't the best cook but, he was following his mother's recipes so he knew it would come out pretty good if not delicious.
Reese nodded. “Okay. Want some help then?” She offered softly, biting her lip. She was anxious to hear back from the doctor, knowing that they said it shouldn’t take too long. She checked her phone again, making sure the sound was on before tucking it in her pocket and slipping off her shoes. She stood on her toes and lightly kissed aces cheek. “Don’t worry too much. I’m okay..” she assured him again.
Ace glanced at her and shook his head. "I can never stop worrying about you. You know that." he said to her before he went back to cooking. He tell something was wrong but decided not to bring it up since he always slightly felt like he was bothering her. He sighed to himself and continued on with cook. "If you want, you can.. Just make sure not to push yourself." he said.
Reese frowned slightly at her husband’s sighing. “Babe. I’m fine. I won’t push myself too far or anything. I’m feeling pretty good right now.” She assured her husband. She smiled a bit at him.
On a follow-up visit to the doctor, routine blood work reveals that Muse A is now pregnant. The couple is thrilled! Even though it’s early, they immerse themselves in preparing for the baby’s arrival. When it comes time for Muse A to have their first sonogram. Muse B is of course as their side and so excited to catch a glimpse of their baby, their eyes glued to the monitor. The sonogram tech takes a deep breath before relaying what they’ve uncovered. Muse A and Muse B are about to become the proud parents of triplets.
