Bedfellows by Lola Leighton
Date Read: 11/16
Rating: ★★★★

I was surprised when I saw that Kendall Ryan released this book under a pseudonym. It is certainly a departure from her usual style and I enjoyed it. I liked Adrienne, Sullivan and Will's characters and the evolution of their relationship. One thing that I did not like was that the story seemed to move too quickly in some parts and I got a little confused on the timing. The ending was a very sweet HEA though. I hope there are more books to come under this Lola Leighton pseudonym.

Review: This is the second book in the Outrageous Sisters series. Sienna tried to seduce Andreas Ferrante when she was a teenager. Things didn't go so well and she was left heartbroken. It didn't help that Sienna mother was having an affair with Andreas father- The fall out from this has left bitter resentment and hatred from both Andreas and Sienna. With his father death years left, Andreas is shocked to learn in order to secure his inheritance that he must marry Sienna and stay married to her for six months. At first I was not really liking this, I didn't like how Andreas was treating Sienna. He was verbally abusive and he liked to man handle her, which is not okay in my book. And Sienna for her part, was just so use to be people treating her like crap, that she didn't seem to want to fight back. She stood up to Andreas on somethings- but at the same time, there was other things, she let him believe about her that was not true. I think the saving grace for this book came towards the end. Once Andreas started to realize the errors in his ways, he became more tolerable. I would over all good book. I'm definitely going to the read the other book on this series.

Review:
I mostly liked this one. The mystery was actually pretty good. And I like the MC. She is Stephanie Plum-esque except more competent. What bothered me most in this book is that she is stuck between two men she has feelings for and we heard about her confused and conflicted feelings ad nauseam. In the end, there was some resolution, which I was glad for but could have done without the too oft repeated thoughts about why she was so conflicted (and maybe actually DO something about it). Would have been a 4 star otherwise.

Yep, it's all done :-) It's up to you if you want to complete your book for the round. Some folks don't like to leave it 'unfinished' but it's totally up to you!

Rachel | 171 comments I think we had a great group :) Looking forward to the next round of this.

Raine (raine_renner) | 379 comments I had gotten done with my Week 9 and halfway through my Week 10 when I caught a really bad head cold. I didn't get a chance to do any postings and I'm just barely feeling human today.

I enjoy doing these challenges as it gives me a chance to read books I sometimes may not read.

Thanks to great teammates and thanks to LaurLa for being an awesome captain!

Sally906 | 879 comments I really enjoyed the challenge as well. A bit surprised about the last week because I forgot it was actually a team event and we were in competition with others. Oops!

I will do it again next year for sure. LaurLa - thankyou, you were a brilliant captain
