SOLVED. Fiction - Book i read in 2014, i think by a prominent author, about a young man living in london who moves to paris in the 20's or 30's. He is a writer (i think) but also has a lot to do with an art dealer. [s]

There is a lot of talk of Huxley, D.H Lawrence, F Scott Fitzgerald etc and boujie parties. There is a lot of debauchery involved..drugs, sex etc. I think at some point he goes to ?spain to stay at some kind of politician or war captains house.Please help! I can't find it anywhere, i've been searching Google to no avail!

I read it in 2014, but it’s an older book. Male author. Can’t rememver the cover at all!

If you can be a little more specific than "older book," that might help. For example, was it published closer to 1950, or 2000?
