The Help question

I can't remember the title of this book about a teenaged girl whose mum is a struggling actress and later dies of cancer. She's(the mom) supposed to be the twin of some famous Hollywood actress. The girl lives with her dad and has a part time job at a hair salon. She maintains a notebook in which she writes things she learns everyday.
