How to fix series?

There's a series Impyrium that is in the database with a book 2: Impyrium, Livre II.

This is not book 2 but the French translation. The author has not completed book two as yet.

What I am not sure of is how to remove this book as a book in the series - without messing up everything else. It would need to be removed from the series and combined into book 1.

You are not exactly correct.
The first book was published in some countries it two volumes.

I'm working on separating volume 1 books from the main work and will correct a series page accordingly.
