The book is based off of two humans. A woman and her young niece. They are HIGHLY intelligent. Smarts run in the family. They rescue an alien pilot and shortly after they have to escape on the alien ship because the earth is being nuked and destroyed by another alien species. They travel to the aliens home world and find she is royalty because of the birthmark on her ankle in the shape of a light. It’s a sci-fi romance. She falls in love with the captain.
