Just wondering since there is a recipe for them in the back of the book... I might make them sometime this fall if they're good.

Not yet. I'm waiting until November 1, :).
My sister made them a couple years ago. They were awesome!
It's hard if you've never made bread before, but it's not so bad. I suggest having an extra set of hands during your first time!Also, they didn't taste quit like I imagined, but they were still delicious. Stifvater is one talented lady :)

THANKS!! I'm going to wait until winter break to make them and read The Scorpio Races again.
It wasn't until the very last day of November before I made them last year. I told everyone a Nomember cake HAD to be made in November! So I hastily got all the ingredients and made them at the last minute. Lol
