Sally | 30 comments I've determined that the "Uncle Eric" books written by Rick Maybury and Richard J. Maybury are just one person. Rick is Richard J. I began editing that in the author field, changing all the "Rick"s to "Richard J." and started getting this error:

"Photo is not a valid type or is too large"

Thing is, I'm not editing the book cover at all (at this point).

Is this a bug or am I missing something?

Kathrynn | 187 comments Yes, I posted something similar last night under
Book Issues
Error Message On Edit Page

and Rivka linked that to another post that shows what the problem is.

How do you do that link, Rivka?

Happy Reading

For future reference, Sally, when there are two listings for an author, you actually don't have to correct it book by book. Go to the author page of the less-correct one, and edit the author info. That will merge the "two different" authors into one, including all their books.

Kathrynn, copy the URL when viewing a thread. Then use the link formatting (as shown in the box on the left). I use a Firefox extension called BBCodeXtra, but it's pretty easy to do by hand.

Kathrynn | 187 comments Thank you Rivka. I saw that extension on FF, I'll be sure to download it.

I <3 FF extensions. One of the best parts of FF is its customizability. :)
