CJ | 289 comments Have updated the sequence, but the name appears to be correct.

Halvor (Raknes) | 4772 comments No, according to the guidelines, I believe, when the series name, here "God, History, and Dialectic", is an added part of each title, it should be removed from the individual titles when the series is created.

CJ | 289 comments Hi. I might leave this for someone more experienced (or yourself). I thought if the series name was actually part of the title ie. God, History, and Dialectic Vol 1, Vol2 etc then it would remain.

Halvor (Raknes) | 4772 comments Then look at this: https://www.goodreads.com/series/6447...

What do the guidelines tell us?

Olivia (livka) | 7926 comments Havlor,
you might wish to word your comment differently next time.
Librarians do not necessarily need to remember every sentence from the manual, and policy is not always completely clear and leaves some space for interpretation.

That being said the only exemption from the series titling standard given in the manual is 'when the series name is the primary or only title.'

Although 'God, History, and Dialectic' is a primary title for all these books from my experience the preferred format is for the series titles to be listed in the parenthesis.
I edited the titles accordingly.

Halvor (Raknes) | 4772 comments I don't see the cause for the reprimand. I am only attempting to attain clarity like the rest here.

Thank you!
