Jan (jan130) Mine's Lauren Gilley so I just *can't* dnf. But I'm not sure whether I'll finish it this month. Just gotta wait till I'm in the right mood, I guess.

I agree, Leslie. That's what happened for me this month in the TBR challenge. I got rid of a book that's been on my TBR for years.

Tessa | 1761 comments Oh, my pick from Jean, His Dirty Little Secret, was seriously cute and I wanted tons more from the book. It was short (novella) but didn't feel incomplete. :D Just pure cute!

Nay (4ukcats) I finished The Boy and His Ribbon The Boy and His Ribbon (The Ribbon Duet, #1) by Pepper Winters and give it 4 stars. I thought it was a little long-winded at times, which made me want to skim. It took a while to get going, and I ended up with the feeling that it's really just a hugely long prologue for the 2nd book.

I also noticed it was shelved as 'dark' a lot, but for me, it wasn't dark at all. There's definitely a taboo aspect to it, and there is a dark thing that happens at the beginning, but on the whole, I wouldn't call it a 'dark romance'.

After I finish my final challenge book today, I'm going straight to The Girl and her Ren The Girl and Her Ren (The Ribbon Duet, #2) by Pepper Winters because after investing all that time in the build-up, there's no way I can't keep going.

Ela--I know I'm in the major minority, but I couldn't ever get in the 'mood' for that series. Either that or I just don't fully enjoy I. Andrews writing like everyone else does. I tried and tried both K. Daniels and The Edge series and kept getting bored.

Yup, I have to agree with you there.... there's just something off for me.
