Joecrash411 (goodreadscomJoecrash) | 11 comments This series of 5 books has taken the #1 spot on my list of favorite Fantasy/Epic Fantasy/Swords and Dragons genre pushing Robin Hobb's Royal Assassin trilogy to #2 and Robert Jordon's Wheel of Time to #3.

All five of the books held my interest from start to finish - every time I read one and I've read all of them multiple times.

I was just wondering if there are any other fans out there as I don't remember reading anything about them here. I really hope to see the first book "The Red Knight" as a book of the month if only to share a great book I think would be enjoyed by any fantasy reader. My choices never make it to the second round!

I am moving this discussion to "Reading Other Stuff" since this folder is for information about the group itself. I can also put it in "Suggestions for Future Series", if you would rather it go there.

The series have been chosen for 2017, but feel free to nominate this series for 2018 when we open nominations for next year. We are generally reading 2 series at once, so for September we will be continuing the Sword of Truth series and starting The Hobbit/Lord of the Rings.

I will say, from what I read at a couple sites, it does sound like an intriguing series!

Joecrash411 (goodreadscomJoecrash) | 11 comments Thanks Kathi, how about suggestions for future series - Miles Cameron aka Christian Cameron, is a terrific author! I read about 2 books a week and when I can't find anything that jumps out at me in the Kindle store (I read using a Kindle almost exclusively) I'll re-read an old favorite and I've read the first four several times apiece. I finished the last book in the series last week and it was just as good as the first four. (Which just solidifies mt annoyance at a certain author who stopped writing the 3rd book in a trilogy, and seems content to live on the popularity of the first two, and going to various "con's" and making snarky comments about his fan base)
Anyway, thanks! You should try a few chapters out of the "Red Knight"!

Your wish has come true! The Traitor Son Cycle is one of our current series. Jump in and join the conversation in our folder for the series.

And I have finished The Red Knight and am anxious to read the next book. Good recommendation!
