Kieran (protome) | 10 comments So, I've been working on a little project for the last couple of weeks to brush up on my Swift (I've been doing nothing but Xamarin for the past couple of years so my native mobile dev skills have gotten a bit rusty.) It's a simple little app that pulls random quotes from Goodreads which you can then share an image of or add the book to your Goodreads shelves.

The code is a little messy (because of rustyness) but hopefully it can serve as a useful example for anyone else looking to use the Goodreads api with Swift.

Kieran (protome) | 10 comments Figured I'd bump this because I've made some changes to the app over time.
Now you can search for books to get quotes from and change the background gradient colours.

The next thing I hope to do is add the ability to limit quotes to just books on your shelves/a specific shelf.

You can find it over at Quotey.App

Crates Media (cr8s) | 4 comments How are you querying quotes? That API doesn't exist.

Kieran (protome) | 10 comments I was using the API that Trey in that other thread made and then last time it went down when I couldn’t get in contact with them I hobbled together my own scraper that does the same job (it’s not as feature full as Trey’s because I just made it to do solely what my app needed.)
