(view spoiler)[ I want to start by saying that I don't think Lila's new eye was worth whatever favor Maris is going to ask in the future. I think it's going to come back and bite her in the butt later in the book at the most inconvient time possible. Next, LENOS AND HASTRA NOOOOO!! THE TWO PEOPLE WHO WERE GOOD AND DID NOT DESERVE TO DIE!! Uhgg. I didn't see Jasta betraying them but I also feel like that wasn't out of the cards either? I feel like if we had sat and thought about it Jasta betraying them wasn't all that surprising? ALSO, THAT ANTARI TRIO AM I RIGHT?!?!?!?!?! I agree with Holland though, that Lila is a wild card and she might be powerful but I feel like she doesn't always think things through? She just does what she wants and I think that that is going to be a downfall for them using the rings against Osaron. I don't know why but I just feel like Lila is going to just deplete Kell and Holland's magic if they go up against Osaron and it's going to be a mess? Let's see what happens!

I mean there were parts where I felt like there were so many different names being thrown out towards the end of the book and I had to read slower and even reread certain parts (and some parts felt just a TINY bit long) but I loved how the main characters had a nice wrap up! I think my favorite was Rhy and Alucard! Something seemed off with Lila's character in this book (and kind of parts of the previous book) but I still really enjoyed Lila's and Kell's ending! With there being so much death leading up to the final couple of chapters, I was kind of surprised that one of the 4 main characters didn't die, but I was happy with their endings! (view spoiler)[Wow, that's a beginning! The 2 other books took me a while to get into because of kinda slow starts, but this is like the complete opposite.]

I knew that there was no way Rhy would be killed off so I wasn't that concerned but still, that was really sad!

Looks like we're doing a Holland redemption arc, I'm very happy with this! He was my favourite character in ADSoM and I wanted to see more of him in AGoS. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I think this was one of the most intense books I have ever read AND I AM SO SAD THAT IT'S OVER! For starters, HOLLAND! My heart hurts. I think we all knew he was going to be the one to use the inheritor in the end but it didnt make it any less painful or sad but I'm happy that he got his peaceful ending back in white london! I wanted to support Lila and Kell and a part of me did but it was difficult because there were so many times that Lila annoyed the crap out of me and that brought down Kell's character but I am glad that they got their happy ending!! Even if it was sad to see Kell leave at the end! However, RHY AND ALUCARD OWN MY HEART! At the end when Alucard was going on about how he didnt know how to dress because he wasn't dressed as a captain or a noble, he was dressed as Alucard Emery courting a king!!!!!! (fangirl screaming and sobbing). I JUST LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!! and Rhy made him apart of his guard and AHHAHAHAHAHA! It was a sad, happy and satisfying ending. I absolutely loved this book and I am going to read every single V. E. Schwab book I can get my hands on! (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[That plan to trap Osaron was doomed to fail, if for no reason than that it was less than halfway through the book 😂

It was pretty obvious that Alucard did not leave Rhy of his own accord but damn, his family sucks. It was still really cool how Rhy stood up for himself at the end of part 6, even if Alucard didn't deserve it.

I wonder what the King is up to with his magic? Whatever it is he's doing I hope it's not too big a disaster...

I'm really happy with the direction of this book, during ADSoM, my two favourite characters who I wanted to learn more about were Rhy and Holland :D (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I had a feeling that Hastra wasn't going to make it, he was too nice. This series seems to have a vendetta against anyone who's nice.

It's not overly surprising that the Faroans turned out to be evil, if one of the countries was going to turn out evil they seemed like the obvious choice.

So Alucard is going to use the mirror to show Rhy what really happened so he'll forgive him? That's commitment 😂 (hide spoiler)]

I wasn't expecting Holland to make it through, his backstory was far too tragic. He really stuck to his goals the entire way through, having him return to White London feels right, poetic, even.
