5.8: Go and Parcheesi
The game Go originated in China and is believed to be the oldest board game continuously played to the present.
The game Parcheesi is a brand name American adaptation of the Indian cross and circle board game Pachisi.

Read a book set at least 50% in China or India. REQUIRED: State the country in which your book is set. If the setting is not shown in the metadata or book description, include a reference from the book or a link to an outside source to establish the setting.

on land.

Heather | 384 comments I have found conflicting information and I feel silly even asking, but I want to make sure! I would like to use The Piano Teacher which is set in Hong Kong. It is part of China but some info says it's independent of China. I found information that says "for official purposes, is a part of China." www.tripsavvy.com.

Could I use this as a book set in China?

Can I use this? It is set in pre-WWII Shanghai (after an interview with the author here: https://www.cbr.com/image-expo-marjor...)

Shanghai is part of China

Lost Planet Airman | 177 comments Can I get a check on these two? Both list "setting" as "China", but being big books, I want to give the creator and the mods a chance to raise any objections before I start.
Under Heaven by Guy Gavriel Kay
The Diamond Age: Or, A Young Lady's Illustrated Primer by Neal Stephenson

I haven't read either book. I have only the same information that you have - the setting as shown in the metadata and as discussed in the GR description. Based on those, they appear to work.
