Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2239 comments Despite his machinations and betrayals, Aelin still give Arobynn one last test to redeem himself (which he fails). Why did she do this? Thoughts on the fact that she gave Lysandra the privilege of killing him?

Melissa (melissasd) | 194 comments I have no idea why Aelin kept giving Arobynn chances to prove himself. We all knew he wouldn't. It may have been because he did save her life as a child and perhaps she was hoping there was some love there somewhere. He decision to let Lysandra kill him was a good one. I do not think Aelin would have been able to.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2239 comments It is like Aelin felt somewhat beholden to Arobynn because he did save her and give her the skills she needed (even if he had his own agenda).

Yes, giving Lysandra that opportunity was right and it saved her from having to do it.
