Melissa (melissasd) | 194 comments There were many times were I thought Dorian was just going to give up. It worried me. Him seeing familiar faces helped keep him from completely losing it. I did not see the use of Athril's ring coming. There is so much going on in these books that sometimes I lose track of things.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2239 comments Yes, I also worried that Dorian would ultimately surrender to the Prince. It is a testament to his strength that he held out as long as he did.

That said, it seems toward the end that he was almost 100% gone and if Aelin hadn't used the ring, he would have killed her.

I like how Maas found a way to put Athril's ring back into play.
