Are there any writers whose non-fiction you enjoy, but not their fiction? Or vice versa?

I'm currently reading Difficult Women by Roxane Gay and realising that I just don't enjoy her fiction in the same way I enjoyed Bad Feminist or Hunger: A Memoir of (My) Body. I am a huge fan of her non fiction, but her novels and short stories somehow just don't do it for me.

Sloane Crosley is another one, I've enjoyed her personal essays but really didn't get on with The Clasp

Carl Sagan. Loved The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark and the Cosmos TV show. Couldn't get through Contact.

I have sometimes felt that I enjoy Harlan Ellison's essays more than his fiction, but I do love his fiction as well.

I enjoyed Marian Keyes semi non-fictional "Under the duvet" a lot but can't get into any of her novels.
