The Fault in Our Stars
question
What is your favorite scene in the book and why?

The Fault in Our Stars
My favorite scene in the book is when Hazel and Augustus are eating at Oranjee and drinking champagne while they visited Amsterdam. I do not like it because Gus used his "Wish" for Hazel or because of the cancer perks. I love this scene because it is just so natural. Augustus and Hazel are finally able to forget the cancer and just enjoy each others company. They are surrounded by beautiful flower petals and scenary and it just makes the whole experience seem breathtaking. Finally a moment where cancer isn't the main focus but about Gus and Hazel's true love for each other.

My favorite scene is when Hazel and Gus are out side Peter Van Houten's house . Hazel because Peter Van Houten is such a douche-bag, so Gus hugs her and tells her that he will write a sequel by himself for her. I found this scene so romantic and so sweet .
The Anne Frank house scene. I've studied the Holocaust for years and I was moved by their kiss inside the house.
My favorite scene was when Hazel and Gus went to Peter Van Houten's house they started talking then he suddenly played Swedish Hip-Hop music. That was really random.
The pre-funeral (especially Isaac's speech). Idk I just couldn't stop crying and laughing at the same time. It was so incredibly moving
My favorite scene was when Hazel and Augustus were at the restaurant and the waiter serves them champagne and tells them the story of Dom Perignon discovering champagne and how he exclaimed, "Come quickly, I am tasting stars." Then the server says,"we've bottled all of the stars for you tonight." I just thought that was magical. Although I must add the book itself left me just luke warm.
When Hazel was at the mall and a little girl came up to her and asked to use her tubes.
I loved many parts of the book, but the one that sticks out most was the kiss in the Anne Frank house. When you study/discuss the Holocaust every school year for many years, it stays with you. It may sound weird, but the fact that they kissed in the same house as Anne Frank got her first kiss is sweet. It's like the the same couple (both know they may die due to their situations).
My favorite scene was when hazel was climbing the stairs of the house of ana frank effort was both touched me a lot
My favorite scene was when Gus said would wrote continuation of Peter Van Houten's Book for Hazel so she would feel happier. It was very sweet, making your loved one feel happy.
My favorite scene was the scene were he was trying to buy cigarettes, even though he wasn't suppose to leave his house because of his sickness. He was determined to go no matter what just to prove that HE HAD THE STRENGTH to do one thing for himself. I don't know why, but every time someone asks me about that book, I always bring up that scene.
My favorite scene was both when Peter Van Houten showed up at Gus's funeral, and when he hid in the back of Hazel's car... the first one was surprising and completely unexpected. the second one really touched me when Hazel realized he a daughter who passed away, and how she started to see through life and through Peter, I felt like Hazel became stronger in facing death after Gus passed away.
My favorite scene was when Hazel and Augustus were sitting in the swing and she tells him that they could be only friends because she doesn't want to hurt him and he says: “Oh, I wouldn't mind, Hazel Grace. It would be a privilege to have my heart broken by you.” OH!! ++
I also liked the pre-funeral scene SO TOUCHING !
