Tom Williams | 112 comments Alan Bardos' book, The Assassins gives an excellent account of the event that triggered the war and The Dardanelles Conspiracy is great on the Gallipoli landings. My review of 'The Assassins' is at https://tomwilliamsauthor.co.uk/two-h... and 'The Dardanelles Conspiracy' is at https://tomwilliamsauthor.co.uk/the-d...

Professor P. Briar | 2 comments If you enjoy aviation history during WWI, Derek Robinsion's Goshawk Squadron is quite good. He is also the author of Piece of Cake which was set in WWII during the Battle of Brittan. I do try to include some references to the Canadians in WWI in my writing, having a familial interest in the 160th Bruce and Simcoe Foresters.

Professor P. Briar | 2 comments John Keegan is also an excellent writer on WWI, from a historical perspective.
