Jim | 16 comments Hi I've been trying to add the book "Fulgentius the Mythographer" to good reads. Info on this book can be found in WorldCat:

http://www.worldcat.org/title/fulgent...

I tried initially to "Import" the book from that page, but was unsuccessful. I then tried to add the book manually using the info from that page, but was told I could not add it, as there was already another book in the database (called "The Peelites, 1846-57" with the same ISBN number.

I double-checked the book itself and I believe the ISBN I entered is correct. A complete copy of the book can be found at Google books and page iv. shows the ISBN number: http://books.google.com/books?id=73mJ...

Is it possible that two books exist with the same ISBN number? Or could it be that there's an error in the ISBN number for "The Peelites" a listed in the goodreads database?

Amanda | 2442 comments Sometimes publishers re-use an ISBN for different books. In this case, you would create an Alternate Cover Edition.

Jim | 16 comments Thank you, Amanda. I have added the book per the instructions you reference, and that seems to have worked: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

However, I was unsure how to do the following: "You can also use the Librarian Note feature found near the top of the book edit page to attach a note to the book (this helps prevent the book from accidentally being deleted by a librarian who thinks it is an invalid entry). "

Is this something I need to be an official Goodreads librarian in order to do?

Z-squared | 8575 comments re 3, i'm not sure if regular users have that ability or not, so i went ahead and added a librarian note.
