I cant remember the name of the book. it was a romance, the girls room mate goes missing, and she tries to find out what happened to her.
In the meantime she finds out she has a jackpot winning lottery ticket that she leaves pinned to her notice board.
she eventually finds out what happened to her roommate.. possible spoiler alert, I think it was an accident, near a tree by a congressman.
she also gets unwell and diagnosed with either cancer or lukemia.
