ABANDONED. Self help, red cover, like the "secret" but more on the NLP side,

Thanks for looking. My friend ,since passed away, loaned me the most incredible book in 2011 . It had a red cover , was about 6inches by 3 inches (quite a small book), split I to two halves. The first half talked about the science behind NLP and the subconscious, it taught you how to take yourself to a special place to send your request to the universe and it would materialise, as the left side of your brain didn't match the right side.

It was similar to "the power of the secret" but without the quotes and a wee bit more science...I can't remember if the authors name but I think he was male. The name of the book I think included the words " key, secret " and possibly universe.

The author wrote a lovely piece in the first half of the book, explaining you had to visualise a little house over a stream , reach this by a bridge, imagine the colour of the roof, the front door, an alcove with a thing of beauty displayed there..then there are many rooms in the house and the author continues to talk you through these. You can then "visit" this house each time but you must always start from the other side of the stream.

Was this a paperback or hardcover?
Was it by a big publisher or small publisher? Any art on the cover?

Thank you :) I can't remember the publisher either, sorry. I remember The art work was a gold embellishment on a solid red cover page. Again similar to the "secret" but with solid red cover with gold being the only other colour on the front cover. Thank you again

Ah and it was paperback however was a "substantial" cover , not paperback or hardback, one of the "plasticky " harder paperbacks.
