Or...that whoever Paypal and other Big Tech Silicon Valley corporations are ultimately aligning with (directly and indirectly, officially and unofficially) is so profitable they will do whatever it takes to keep their mysterious bedfellows happy...Even if it means sometimes employing Stasi-like measures to control what's allowed to be said, or even who is allowed to "exist" in the digital mainstream...

I know there are other options for moving money electronically but PayPal is the one everybody is used to using.

Meanwhile, this is totally unrelated to this thread, but I just saw Russia's communist party is gaining in popularity again... https://themoscowtimes.com/news/russi...

And by the way, Jordan has stood up to fascism and the Far Right in his books and public lectures for decades before he became famous -- so it's ironic he's being now called a Far Right extremist and being singled out by Radical Leftists as the #1 enemy of our freedoms...He's actually a centrist (I don't even think Canada has much of a Right wing force, certainly nothing like in the US or Europe) and is simply warning against extremism on either end of political spectrum...
But where he kinda woke me up is he said we have a clear name (fascism) and definition of the Far Right, but that we don't have (at least not in modern culture) a clear definition of what it means to go too far Left...nor do we recognize the dangers of that and how radicalism on the Left can mirror fascism...
So that dovetails in with your comment "Some of these fake Social Justice Warriors haven't a clue what Communism actually entails, they think it's some sort of 'bubble wrap' sharing is caring crap"
Yes, they need a history lesson, indeed.
And just like Jordan, I'm certainly not denying that Far Right haters are not growing in numbers simultaneously...It's getting really dangerous at both ends of the political spectrum...Both sides are actually furthering each other to go more and more extreme as they all believe they are defending important values.

James Woods Says He Won’t Delete Meme Post From Twitter https://www.theepochtimes.com/james-w...

p.s. I am not naive to the fact that James Woods is trying to use what's happening to him to promote his conservative Right Wing ideologies (just like Alex Jones is), but I think this whole censorship thing supersedes political persuasions. Both Woods and Jones have valid points and were they on the other side of the political equation they'd be no less valid.

What is a bigger threat to society: Inequality (whether caused by sexism, racism or other discrimination) OR Political Correctness (e.g. censorship, language controls, anti-freedom of speech regulations etc, that aim to prevent inequalities)?

Internet inventor Berners-Lee to battle Google, Facebook with new web platform https://www.vanguardngr.com/2018/11/i...

-Jones, the founder of Infowars, accused Pichai and Google of making "censorship systems" for China's Communist Party, which he alleged "killed five times what Hitler did."
-Read a full report of the hearing, which focused on reports that Google plans to reenter the Chinese market with a heavily censored search engine known as Dragonfly.
-The Intercept reported in August that Pichai met with a Chinese government official in December 2017 to discuss the project. On Tuesday, Pichai denied that he had.
-The Intercept said Dragonfly would "blacklist websites and search terms about human rights, democracy, religion, and peaceful protest."

TRUMP MEETS WITH GOOGLE’S PICHAI TO TALK ABOUT “POLITICAL FAIRNESS” https://www.infowars.com/trump-meets-...
President Trump just met with Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai to discuss the company’s dealings with China as well as “political fairness,” which suggests the president brought up online censorship.

https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2018...
This is very real. These large companies are acting on behalf of the US State and actively censoring the internet.
The Democratic Party has been very active in promoting internet censorship as part of its bogus allegations of Russian interference in the 2016 election and its promotion of anti-Russia hysteria and militarism. Democratic Party politicians like Adam Schiff have sought to blame all social opposition on Russian interference. It is a new McCarthyism.

I only understood the first and last word of that :)

2. Many progressives would shut down Fox if they could. Likewise, many cons - especially Trump & his base - would shut down CNN if they could.
3. See the real, reproducible data I've compiled on how heavily Twitter censors *all* kinds of users (except blue check marks): https://github.com/TolstoyDotCom/more...

The Russians should make more effort on Yandex. That would really annoy the Americans - Russian interference would be the theme as opposed to fair competition :-)

London Real website suffers attack, suspended from LinkedIn after David Icke interview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcJg-...
The consequences of daring to air the interview are mounting.

A page belonging to David Icke has been removed from Facebook amid concerns about the peddling of dangerous conspiracy theories around coronavirus.
The former footballer’s page had more than 770,000 followers on the platform, but a secondary account with some 68,000 followers remains active.
Among Icke’s most controversial claims is the unproven suggestion that 5G is linked to the Covid-19 outbreak

As the Covid-19 crisis progresses, censorship programs advance, amid calls for China-style control of the Internet
Earlier this week, Atlantic magazine – fast becoming the favored media outlet for self-styled intellectual elites of the Aspen Institute type – ran an in-depth article of the problems free speech poses to American society in the coronavirus era. The headline:
Internet Speech Will Never Go Back to Normal
In the debate over freedom versus control of the global network, China was largely correct, and the U.S. was wrong.
Authored by a pair of law professors from Harvard and the University of Arizona, Jack Goldsmith and Andrew Keane Woods, the piece argued that the American and Chinese approaches to monitoring the Internet were already not that dissimilar:
Constitutional and cultural differences mean that the private sector, rather than the federal and state governments, currently takes the lead in these practices… But the trend toward greater surveillance and speech control here, and toward the growing involvement of government, is undeniable and likely inexorable.
They went on to list all the reasons that, given that we’re already on an “inexorable” path to censorship, a Chinese-style system of speech control may not be such a bad thing. In fact, they argued, a benefit of the coronavirus was that it was waking us up to “how technical wizardry, data centralization, and private-public collaboration can do enormous public good.”
Perhaps, they posited, Americans could be moved to reconsider their “understanding” of the First and Fourth Amendments, as “the harms from digital speech” continue to grow, and “the social costs of a relatively open Internet multiply.”

Flanked by Attorney General Bill Barr, President Trump signed an executive order in the Oval Office on Thursday that interprets Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996 (CDA) as not providing statutory liability protections for tech companies that engage in censorship and political conduct.
The president's order, which also cuts federal funding for social media platforms that censor users' political views, came just two days after Twitter took the unprecedented step of slapping a "misleading" warning label on two of Trump's tweets concerning the fraud risks of nationwide mail-in balloting. The move immediately backfired: Experts disputed that Trump's tweet was actually misleading, in part because mail-in balloting has been linked to ongoing fraud; Twitter's fact-check itself contained false statements; and Twitter failed to apply the standard of review to other users.

Twitter have placed a public interest notice on a tweet by US President Donald Trump for "glorifying violence".
As riots rage in Minneapolis over the death in custody of black man George Floyd, President Trump called the protesters "thugs" and insinuated that looters would be shot in a series of tweets he posted a short time ago.
In the tweets, President Trump threatened to bring in the National Guard to "get the job done right".
Trump to sign executive order on social media after Twitter's fact check warning
On May 28, US President Donald Trump made it known he would sign an executive order on social media companies. The feud with Twitter started when Trump threatened to shut down the platform he accused of stifling conservative voices.

Twitter is doing nothing about all of the lies & propaganda being put out by China or the Radical Left Democrat Party. They have targeted Republicans, Conservatives & the President of the United States. Section 230 should be revoked by Congress. Until then, it will be regulated!

David Icke Reveals the Truth
A small handful of social media monopolies control everything that we say and that we see.
Over the last 2 months we have seen a disproportionate amount of censorship and have interviewed countless people who have also been shut down by these trillion dollar behemoths.
